Passing PE Exam with School of PE A brief introduction to PE exam The NCEES runs the Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) exam. The NCEES is a nonprofit organization that develops, administers, and scores PE exams. Engineers with four years of experience after graduation can apply for the exam. The test takes place once or twice a year. The Mechanical HVCA and Refrigeration test and two others take place all year. The School of PE has PE review courses to help students pass their exams.
