Hi! My name is Callum Cherniwchan, I am 7 yrs old, and this is my 2nd year in 4H as a Poultry Cleaver. I have a variety of Laying Hens and am slowly building my flock. This year, I will be showing Buff Orphingtons and Bielefelders . They are my favorite because they are friendly and calm and will grow up to be big birds and great layers. I'm excited for them to start laying eggs so I can make some money selling farm fresh eggs! When I'm not busy looking after my flock or helping my Dad around our farm, I like to play baseball, hockey, and soccer. I am looking forward to showing my birds at the show and sale this year!
Hi my name is Kobus Wendorff. I am 6 years old, and I am a Cleaver. I am part of the poultry project.
I chose to raise 2 egg laying birds. A Blue Andalusian named Snow and a Golden Laced Wyandotte named Roosty for my project.
They came as chicks in April and we can’t tell if they are boys or girls. We are not sure which ones are which and I like them all.

NATALIA CHERNIWCHAN
Hi! My name is Natalia Cherniwchan, I am 9 yrs old, and this is my 1st year in 4-H and my 1st year doing a Poultry Project. I am having so much fun being apart of this club and am learning lots! This year, I will be showing a Beilefelder Laying Hen. I think the Beilefelders are so pretty. They have really neat coloring and markings. I can't wait for them to start laying eggs, as eggs are one of my favorite foods. My goal is to one day have my own flock of Laying Hens that are all different breeds. I love watching the chickens run for their treats, especially watermelon! I am looking forward to showing my Hen at the show and sale this year!
TRISTEN MELNYCHUK
My name is Tristen Melnychuk. I am 14 years old, and live on a farm by Spedden. This is my second year in 4-H, and I really enjoy it. Some other things I like to do in my free time are playing hockey, badminton, and Ukrainian Dance. I also like to hunt and fish. One of the main reasons I joined H again this year is because I have chickens at home and I am able to learn how to take care of them even better through 4-H.
At Achievement Day I will be selling 1 Cornish Giant chicken. I will also be showing my 1 year old Silkies as a laying hen project. One of the most important things I have learned from being in 4-H is to help out in the community. I hope to see you on June 9th at Achievement Day.
