Youth Auditions

Pre-Show Art Workshops

Monday, March 17 at 4:15 pm Registration begins at 3:45 pm

A special one-week intensive drama workshop for youth in grades K5-12 that culminates in a fully staged and costumed show. Those cast will rehearse for the week and nd perform two public performances on Friday, March 21 & Saturday, March 22.

Arrive early and join the Community School of the Arts for a pre-show art workshop! Each student will create a unique keepsake related to the live performance. Parents are invited to watch and assist their artist with creating a piece to continue the story at home. Tuition: $10 per class

Come paint an adorable puppy picture that is so cute and polka-dotted, it’s sure to make Cruella jealous!

Saturday, March 22 at 3:00 pm An original country-western adaptation of BEAUTY & THE BEAST. At the county fair, Beauty Lou is upset by the ungrateful behavior of a miner who has won the blue ribbon for his roses. She calls him a beast and wishes that he would look like one, ne, too. Years later, Beauty Lou agrees to befriend the Beast in orderr to o save her family’s farm. Beauty Lou and the Beast both learn to look beyond appearances and first impressions and to see the beauty that dwells inside. Note: Auditions are held as a group and last approximately 90-120 min. Audition is required for participation - there is NO FEE to audition. 50-60 youth will be cast. Detailed rehearsal schedule will be distributed following auditions.
