ANTARCTICA Lands of pristine beauty and breathtaking wildlife, traveling to the White Continent is a long-held dream for most people. — Explore Antarctica in depth, and upclose, from the Peninsula to South Georgia’s unsurpassed biodiversity and the intriguing Falkland Islands. ANTARCTIC PENINSULA The Antarctic Peninsula’s west coast is a land of vast white icebergs, towering peaks and a maze of protected channels, home to an abundance of wildlife with vast colonies of penguins, seals and pods of whales. Every day will be a feast for the senses, a veritable parade of wildlife as you savor a rare chance to witness a part of the world few have stepped foot upon.

WEDDELL SEA & ANTARCTIC CIRCLE In February and March when the ice has started to break, there may be opportunities to venture further to the east coast of the Peninsula into the Weddell Sea, whose waters boast tabular icebergs and are alive with seals, penguins and whales. If conditions are favorable, follow in the footsteps of early explorers and cross the Antarctic Circle at latitude 66°33’ South.

SOUTH GEORGIA & THE FALKLAND ISLANDS South Georgia, home to the famed king penguins, is one of the most unique and important biodiverse environments on earth, while the Falkland Islands offer plenty of rugged beauty and an impressive diversity of wildlife. Great explorers, triumph over adversity, myth and legend, these two intriguing island chains have a host of stories to share.

Discover

Antarctica

The season to travel to these regions is short. No matter which time you choose, each season will offer its own unique opportunity to experience close encounters with wildlife and soaring icebergs.

Austral Spring November and December is a time like no other. The sun powers an explosion of life, ice breaks out of bays with enormous pristine icebergs floating freely and wildlife are feeding and breeding. • Landscapes are ice-clad and pristine • Penguin colonies bustle with lively courtship rituals • Humpback, Minke and Southern Right whales arrive • Fur and elephant seals give birth • This is the ideal season for keen photographers to capture the Antarctic twilight

Austral Summer

Austral Autumn

January and February see the longest days of summer with nearly 24 hours of daylight and the temperature has risen to a balmy 33-35 Farenheight. The ice starts to break further south and it is playtime for the wildlife.

In early March the sun sinks further below the horizon, nightly darkness returns, temperatures are still above zero although you may experience cold Antarctic nights that deliver beautiful patterns of thin sea ice. South Georgia and the Falklands are teaming with unbelievable concentrations of wildlife.

• Penguin chicks are hatched and constantly feeding • Leopard seals are predatory, hunting penguin chicks • Great concentrations of whale species feeding • Large number of crabeater seals rest on icebergs • The ice has softened with the chance to cross the Antarctic Circle or explore the Weddell Sea

• Penguin chicks fledge, leaving their nests for a life at sea • Humpbacks treat you to magnificent breaching displays • Leopard seals court with their incredible song • South Georgia is teeming with millions of fur seal pups and Wandering Albatross chicks

Where, due to circumstances outside the Operator’s control, We are unable to provide the Tour in accordance with Your Itinerary, We will use reasonable endeavours to: (a) give You reasonable notice of any alterations, but there may be circumstances beyond Our control in which alterations will be required with little, or no, advance notice; and (b) provide or arrange appropriate alternative activities, transport and accommodation as required. 5.6 The circumstances in which Your Itinerary or the Tour may be altered include: (a) tidal waters or high or low water levels in any ocean or sea, river, canal, bay, cove or port; (b) port closures or port restrictions due to weather or other operational reasons (c) lock closures, unscheduled vessel maintenance or other operational reasons; (d) road, river, ice or weather conditions; (e) national or local holidays affecting the closure of public buildings or attractions; (f) Force Majeure Events; (g) emergency events, accidents, injuries or other incidents involving You or other passengers; and (h) any other event beyond Our control. 5.7 Alterations to Your Itinerary or the Tour may include: (a) substitution of vessels for part or the whole of a Tour; (b) cabin changes on a vessel; (c) substitution of another port or anchor location; (d) additional embarkations and disembarkations; (e) substitution of alternate transportation, including the use of motor coaches; (f) substitution of hotel accommodation for accommodation on a vessel; (g) alterations to arrival and departure times; (h) alterations to sightseeing activities; and

In the first instance You should raise Your concern with the Tour Director or the Cruise Director as soon as reasonably practicable, as it may be possible for them to take steps to resolve Your concern with minimal delay. 7. The parties waive the right to rely upon any state or federal law or statute which creates an exception to enforcement of the requirement that all Disputes be resolved pursuant to arbitration as set forth in this paragraph. If the right to seek arbitration is for any reason waived by both parties, or if judicial review of any arbitration decision is sought, any action or legal proceeding to enforce any provision hereof, or based on any right arising out of, this Contract shall be brought exclusively in the state and federal courts having jurisdiction in and for Clark County, Nevada, and all of the parties hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts and of the appropriate appellate courts in any such action or legal proceeding and waive any objection to venue or jurisdiction in connection therewith. If guest’s claim is subject to arbitration under paragraph 16 below, the arbitrator shall have no authority to arbitrate claims on a class action basis. Guest agrees that this section shall not be severable under any circumstances from the arbitration clause set forth in paragraph 16 below, and if for any reason this class action waiver is unenforceable as to any particular claim, then and only then such claim shall not be subject to arbitration. 10.4 Any term which is, by its nature, intended to survive termination of the Contract survives termination. 10.5 In these Conditions, unless the context otherwise indicates a contrary intention: (a) headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation; (b) singular includes the plural and vice versa; (c) a reference to a party includes its successors, permitted assigns, administrators and substitutes; (d) where a word or phrase is defined, its other grammatical forms have the corresponding meaning; (e) the word ‘include’ in any form is not a word of limitation; (f) no rules of construction apply to Our disadvantage on the basis that these Conditions or the Contract were prepared by Us; (g) a reference to a natural person includes their personal representatives; and (h) a reference to a body (including institute, association or authority) which ceases to exist or whose powers or functions are transferred to another body is a reference to the body which replaces it or which substantially succeeds to its powers or functions. 10.6 The Tour Brochure is valid for Tour Departure Dates during the Validity Period unless otherwise indicated in Your Itinerary, and supersedes all previous brochures. 10.7 Recovery Fund for Consumers CALIFORNIA.
