Alaska Inside Passage Cruise and East Coast Discovery

Day 1: Arrive Banff (D)

Welcome to Canada! You will be met at Calgary International Airport and transferred to your hotel in Banff. Please book your flight to arrive by 3pm. Two Night Stay: Caribou Lodge or similar.

Day 2: Banff and Lake Louise Sightseeing (FB)

Make our way to Canada’s “Diamond in the Wilderness”, Lake Louise. Explore the picturesque surrounds before returning to Banff for a sightseeing tour.

Day 3: Glacier ‘Ice Explorer’ – Jasper (FB,HD)

Travel along the Icefields Parkway, acclaimed as one of the most spectacular journeys in the world. Stop at the Columbia Icefield and climb aboard the ‘Ice Explorer’ for a ride onto the Athabasca Glacier. The day’s end finds us in Jasper National Park. You’re Invited: Walk above the Rockies deepest canyon; Maligne Canyon, then dine at Wilderness Kitchen an original Canadian smokehouse located at the canyon trailhead.

Overnight Stay: Maligne Lodge or similar.

Day 4: Jasper – Sun Peaks (FB)

Make our way out of Jasper National Park enjoying views of Mt. Robson. Weave through forests, winding rivers and lakes before arriving in the ski resort village of Sun Peaks. Overnight Stay: Cahilty Lodge or similar.

Rocky Mountaineer Upgrade (Tour code ERRU)

Day 4: Rocky Mountaineer – Kamloops (FB,L)

Upgrade your journey to a two day rail experience on the Rocky Mountaineer in a SilverLeaf carriage (upgrade to GoldLeaf at additional expense). Overnight Stay: Kamloops Hotel (as assigned by Rocky Mountaineer) φ.

Day 5: Sun Peaks – Vancouver (FB)

Travel through the countryside before reaching the peaks and valleys of the coastal mountain range. Follow the Fraser Valley before arriving into Vancouver. Two Night Stay: Residence Inn by Marriott or similar.

Rocky Mountaineer Upgrade

Day 5: Rocky Mountaineer – Vancouver (FB,L)

Continue our journey on board the Rocky Mountaineer. Late afternoon we arrive into Vancouver. Two Night Stay: Residence Inn by Marriott φ.

Day 6: Vancouver Sightseeing (FB,D)

Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Vancouver including Gastown and the waterfront area.

Day 7: Vancouver – Seattle – 7 Night Alaskan Cruise (FB,D)

Transfer south and cross the US border to Seattle. Board your cruise ship and check into your comfortable inside stateroom (upgrade to ocean view or verandah staterooms additional expense) on Holland America Cruise Line. Settle in for an unforgettable 7 night voyage through the famed Inside Passage.

Day 8: Scenic Cruising (FB,L,D)

Relax as you cruise one of the world’s most spectacular waterways.

Day 9: Stephens Passage – Juneau (FB,L,D)

Sail picturesque Stephens Passage known for its wildlife and dramatic beauty before arriving into Juneau. Perched on a thin strip of land at the mouth of Gold Creek, Juneau is arguably one of America’s most beautiful state capitals.

Day 10: Hubbard Glacier (FB,L,D)

Hubbard Glacier is known for its sheer size and high levels of activity. It’s not uncommon to see a large piece of ice calve from the face of this gnarled glacier and land with a thunderous boom in the bay. Wildlife is prolific in this area and chunks of ice that break off become floating islands for seals.

Day 11: Sitka (FB,L,D)

In Sitka you’ll witness a unique slice of Alaskan history not found anywhere else. Russia controlled Alaska from the mid-1700s until 1867 and you’ll still see vestiges of Russia’s influence throughout the town.

Day 12: Ketchikan (FB,L,D)

Welcome to the salmon capital of the world! Part of the town is built along a steep hillside and part is built on pilings over the water. Rich native history and an outstanding collection of totem poles makes the town an essential stop for anyone interested in native art.

Day 13: The Inside Passage – Victoria (FB,L,D) Relax on deck and keep an eye out for wildlife as you travel south through the Inside Passage.

Day 14: Seattle – Boston (FB)

Disembark and transfer to Seattle Airport to board your flight to Boston (flight not included in land only bookings. Book flight after 12:30pm). Overnight Stay: Sheraton Boston or similar.

Day 15: Boston – New England – Montréal (FB,D) Travel through the states of Vermont and New Hampshire. Pass into Canada and the FrenchCanadian province of Québec. Finish in the quintessentially French city of Montréal.

Two Night Stay: Hampton Inn by Hilton Montreal Downtown or similar.

Day 16: Montréal Sightseeing (FB)

Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Montréal viewing the Olympic Complex, Notre Dame Cathedral, and views of the city skyline from Mt. Royal.

Day 17: Montréal – Québec City (FB,HL)

Follow the historic “Chemin du Roy” (King’s Road), before arriving at a traditional Québécois Sugar Shack. You’re Invited: Enjoy French Canadian country charm and hospitality then partake in a delicious lunch that showcases the local cuisine. Arrive into Québec City and tour of The Plains of Abraham, the Citadel and Parliament buildings. Then embark on a walking tour within the walls of the Vieux Carré (Old City). Two Night Stay: Hotel Clarendon or similar.

Day 18: Québec City (FB)

Free day to explore Québec City.

Day 19: Québec City – Ottawa (FB,D)

Follow the St. Lawrence River to Canada’s national capital, Ottawa. En route visit Mādahòkì Farms, an authentic cultural experience. After a traditional arrival and welcome spend some time with their cultural Ambassadors who will share their indigenous culture including the story of the Spirit Horses. Overnight Stay: Delta Hotel Ottawa City Centre or similar.

Day 20: Ottawa Sightseeing – Toronto (FB)

Tour Ottawa’s Parliament Buildings, City Hall and the National Gallery amongst other notable sights. Two Night Stay: Westin Harbour Castle or similar.

Day 21: Toronto (FB)

Journey to the top of CN Tower for some spectacular views, then take in the sights of Toronto including Parliament Buildings, Queen’s Park, museum row and the majestic castle, Casa Loma.

Day 22: Toronto – Niagara Falls (FB,D)

Visit the spectacular Niagara Falls and take a thrilling cruise up close to the waterfalls.

Day 23: Niagara Falls – Lancaster (FB,D)

Make our way to Lancaster, home to Amish communities who are known for their simple lives. This evening, savour a homemade Amish feast. Overnight Stay: The Inn at Leola Village.

Day 24: Lancaster – Washington D.C. (FB)

You’re Invited: Experience the way of the Amish on a tour through a local village. Continue to the world’s most powerful capital, Washington D.C. Two Night Stay: Washington Marriott Georgetown or similar.

Day 25: Washington D.C. Sightseeing (FB)

Enjoy a city tour viewing the U.S. Capitol Building, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, the White House and Arlington National Cemetery.
