Day 1: Arrive Victoria (D)

Welcome to Canada! This evening, meet your Tour Director and fellow travellers for a welcome dinner. Two Night Stay: Chateau Victoria or similar.

Day 2: Victoria – Butchart Gardens (FB)

Today, visit the world-famous Butchart Gardens, a 22 hectare showplace of magnificent, colourful gardens. Learn about the history and flora while exploring the gardens which have delighted visitors from around the world for over one hundred years. Afterwards, enjoy an orientation tour of Victoria’s Inner Harbour, Bastion Square, Beacon Hill and residential areas. There is free time to explore Victoria or allow Evergreen to assist you in discovering more about this historic region. Day 3: Georgia Strait – Whistler (FB)

Although the journey from Victoria to Whistler is breathtaking, there is the opportunity to view this spectacular landscape from the air with a one hour floatplane flight over the Georgia Strait and Coastal Mountains to the alpine resort of Whistler (seasonal, must be pre-booked, additional cost).

Drive north along Vancouver Island through forested roads and towns to Nanaimo. Board the BC Ferry and travel through Georgia Strait to Horseshoe Bay. Journey north along the Sea to Sky Highway as the road follows the rugged coastline with views of Horseshoe Bay, Bowen Island, Gambier Island and Anvil Island on your left and forested parks and mountains on your right. Stop at the awesome Shannon Falls before arriving at the charming alpine resort of Whistler Village where you are free to explore the village’s cobbled pathways and plazas. Day 4: Whistler – Sun Peaks (FB,HD)

Travel the scenic Duffy Lake Road then head to the ski resort village of Sun Peaks. You’re Invited: This evening, our highlight dinner involves an authentic Fur Traders feast and storytelling. Overnight Stay: Cahilty Lodge or similar.

Day 5: Sun Peaks – Banff (FB)

Enter the spectacular Canadian Rockies and make your way through the three national parks. Travel from primeval forests to Ice Age Glaciers, waterfalls and mountain peaks. Late this afternoon, arrive into Banff. Two Night Stay: Mount Royal Hotel

Day 6: Banff at Leisure (FB)

Full day at leisure in Banff.

Day 7: Banff – Lake Louise – Emerald Lake (FB,D)

Start the day with a tour of Banff including the Bow River, the Hoodoos and Bow Falls. Make your way to Lake Louise the “Diamond in the Wilderness”, where you will have time to explore. Finish the day at Emerald Lake, so named because of the vibrant colour of its waters.

Day 8: Glacier ‘Ice Explorer’ – Jasper (FB,HD)

Travel along the Icefields Parkway, acclaimed as one of the most spectacular journeys in the world. Stop at the Columbia Icefield, where you’ll climb aboard the ‘Ice Explorer’ for a journey onto the Athabasca Glacier. The day’s end finds us in Jasper National Park where you will be guided through spectacular Maligne Canyon. You’re Invited: Be guided through spectacular Maligne Canyon, then experience an authentic Canadian Rockies dinner and storytelling. Overnight Stay: Lobstick Lodge.

Day 9: Rocky Mountaineer – Kamloops (FB,L)

Set off on a two day rail experience on “The Most Spectacular Train Journey in the World”. Settle back in your SilverLeaf carriage (upgrade to GoldLeaf at additional expense). Enjoy spectacular views including Canada’s highest peak, the 3954 metre Mount Robson, as you journey towards Kamloops. Overnight Stay: Kamloops Hotel (as assigned by Rocky Mountaineer).

Day 10: Rocky Mountaineer – Vancouver (FB,L,D)

Continue our journey following the Thompson River and passing through the magnificent Fraser Valley. Late afternoon, we arrive into Vancouver. Overnight Stay: Sheraton Wall Centre or similar.

Day 11: Vancouver – Boston (FB)

Disembark early this morning and transfer to Vancouver Airport to board your flight to Boston (flight not included in land only bookings. Book flight after 12:30pm).

Two Night Stay: Sheraton Boston or similar.

Day 12: Boston Sightseeing (FB,D)

Day 13: New England – Montréal (FB,D)

Travel through the picturesque states of Vermont and New Hampshire. Pass into Canada and the French-Canadian province of Québec. Two Night Stay: Hampton Inn by Hilton Montreal Downtown

Day 14: Montréal Sightseeing (FB)

Enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city, viewing the Olympic Complex, Notre Dame Cathedral and views of the city from Mt. Royal.

Day 15: Montréal – Québec City (FB,HL)

You’re Invited: Learn how to make maple candy, then partake in a delicious French Canadian lunch. Follow the historic “New France Route” to Québec City and meet our local guide for a city tour and a walking tour within the walls of the Vieux Carré (Old City). Day 16: Québec City (FB)

Spend the day exploring Québec City.

Day 17: Québec City – Ottawa (FB,D)

Drive through rolling countryside following the St. Lawrence River to Canada’s national capital, Ottawa. En route visit Mādahòkì Farms, an authentic cultural experience. After a traditional welcome, spend some time with their cultural Ambassadors who will share their indigenous culture including the story of the Spirit Horses. Overnight Stay: Delta Ottawa Hotel City Centre.

Day 18: Ottawa Sightseeing – Toronto (FB)

Our local guide joins us for a tour of Ottawa. See the green-peaked roofs of the Parliament Buildings along with other notable buildings and sights. Travel along the shores of Lake Ontario to Toronto. Two Night Stay: Westin Harbour Castle or similar.

Day 19: Toronto (FB)

Journey to the top of CN Tower for spectacular views over Toronto. Take in the sights of Ontario’s Parliament Buildings, Queen’s Park and museum row and visit Canada’s majestic castle, Casa Loma.

Day 20: Toronto – Niagara Falls (FB,D)

Day 21: Niagara Falls – Lancaster (FB,D)

This morning, we cross the border into the United States and journey through the countryside of Pennsylvania and the Appalachian Mountains. Make our way to the quaint and attractive Lancaster County, home to the religious Amish and Mennonite communities, known for their simple lifestyle, largely void of modern conveniences. This evening, savour an authentic Amish feast prepared in the traditional ways. Overnight Stay: The Inn at Leola Village.

Day 22: Lancaster – Washington D.C. (FB)

You’re Invited: Experience the culture, faith and way of life of the Amish on a tour through a local village. Continue to the world’s most powerful capital, Washington D.C. Two Night Stay: Washington Marriott Georgetown or similar.

Day 23: Washington D.C. sightseeing (FB)

Enjoy a city tour viewing such highlights as the U.S. Capitol Building, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, the White House and Arlington National Cemetery, site of the John F. Kennedy Memorial.
