Julie Riddell As
a
long
time
area
resident,
many people met Julie Riddell as she worked tirelessly helping local nonprofits. Many also know her for the enthusiasm Julie brings to her work in educating people about the world of
alternative
investments.
Helping
people understand they have options for building wealth, deferring taxes, and generating significantly greater income than currently paid on CDs, money markets and savings accounts gives her a great deal of satisfaction and makes her excited to come to work each day. Julie is a registered representative and offers securities through Concorde Investment Services, LLC, member FINRA/ SIPC, and has many years of experience with 1031 exchanges, a field introduced to her by her husband, Jeff, an attorney who founded U.S. 1031 Exchange Services. She guides clients through the process of 1031 exchange replacements allowing them to increase their real estate holdings with the advantage of deferring capital gains taxes. Julie also has expertise with nontraded Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), which provide income as well as the opportunity for their investment to appreciate. While all investments may involve some type of risk and the opportunities for increased potential returns are not guaranteed, Julie works with her clients to ensure each product is the right fit to help minimize any downside. Originally from Michigan, Julie and Jeff found the Florida lifestyle very attractive and moved to this area in 1983 when he received a job offer from a local law firm and she was a young mother. Their children grew up here and graduated from Sarasota schools. Over the years, Julie made significant contributions to local nonprofits, chairing many galas, serving as past President of the New College Library Association, and chairing the Junior League’s 100th Anniversary celebration. Today, her daughter, Cynthia, is an attorney working in their firm, and her son, Mark, a former professional tennis player, works for IMG Academies. Julie also loves to play tennis and is enjoying learning how to play golf.
