Jill Miller and Therese Goode share a passion for women’s health and personalized patient care. At OB-GYN Women’s Centre of Lakewood Ranch, they work with a team of three physicians, a midwife, and staff who share a compassionate, patient-focused approach. The OB-GYN Women’s Centre was the first private practice to bring midwives, physician assistants and nurse practitioners to Manatee County. It also offers extended hours to accommodate working patients and has bilingual staff and providers. The practice cares for women from puberty through menopause and is conveniently located in a building attached to the Lakewood Ranch Medical Center’s Women and Children’s Center. Jill has been an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner for more than 20 years. She grew up in Sarasota and headed to Nashville to earn her master’s degree in nursing at Vanderbilt University. Following graduation, Jill had a successful career in obstetrics, gynecology and urogynecology in Tennessee, but decided to return here in 2001 to raise her family. Today, she works with patients age 14 and up and particularly likes resolving gynecological issues and seeing women through their pregnancies. She also likes getting to know patients and their families and considers it the highest compliment when patients refer their mothers, sisters, and friends to the practice. Therese is a certified Physician Assistant who works with patients for well-woman visits, obstetrics care, and post partum visits in the hospital. She grew up on Long Island, relocated to Florida in 1981, and has spent her adult career in healthcare. After 20 years as a respiratory therapist, Therese realized she missed patient care and enrolled in the University of Florida’s physician assistant program. Following graduation, she has enjoyed all aspects of women’s healthcare, including utilizing her undergraduate degree in education to teach patients about the importance of healthy exercise and nutrition.
