Patients at Sarasota OB/GYN Associates trust that they will receive comprehensive care with compassion from board-certified physicians. From routine well-woman exams to prenatal health and delivery through menopausal management and treatment of genitourinary issues, the practice is dedicated to providing the highest level of care with the latest and most minimally invasive procedures. “We get to know patients individually, discuss treatment options, and find what makes sense for that person,” says Dr. Katrina Davis, who specializes in treating genitourinary disorders, such as incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. Sarasota OB/GYN Associates provides both low- and high-risk obstetric care, and Dr. Julianne Kenton works with expectant mothers. She also provides general gynecology services. “I am passionate about minimally invasive gynecological surgery, but working with patients on day-to-day things like family planning, hormone replacement, and routine annual exams is also where I thrive,” Dr. Kenton says. Its other providers include Dr. Wayne Cohen, Elizabeth Guiterrez, CNM, and nurse practitioners Beth Hinkelman, Paulina Lamb and Kaye Bennett. Dr. Davis’ empathetic nature helps her understand how patients’ issues impact their quality of life. She is board certified in urogynecology and specializes in robotic surgeries, urinary and fecal incontinence, chronic constipation, and pelvic prolapse. Dr. Davis received medical training at the University of Tennessee and completed a Preceptorship at the Women’s Incontinence Center in Evanston, Ill. She completed her residency at the University of Arkansas where she also served on the medical faculty. “My life experience has led me to be a kindred spirit with patients,” Dr. Davis says. “I like to fix things or provide treatments that make their lives so much better.” Dr. Kenton is friendly and approachable and always wanted to be a doctor. On her first day in obstetrics during medical school, a woman in the last stages of labor came in. Dr. Kenton delivered the baby and decided that was what she wanted to do. She is a board-certified gynecologist and a Harvard University and Jagiellonian University graduate. She completed her residency at Louisiana State University. “Being a good listener with a friendly smile helps patients open up,” Dr. Kenton says, “and they know they are getting excellent healthcare.”
