How Global Knives Are Made
Designed by a Visionary
GLOBAL knives were first designed in 1985 by visionary industrial designer, Komin Yamada. He was commissioned to develop a range of kitchen knives that was new and revolutionary, using the best materials available and the latest manufacturing techniques that would appeal to both the professional chef and athome gourmet cooks.

GLOBAL SAI, designed by renowned industrial designer Komin Yamada, pays homage to the Samurai tradition of sword making. The slightly longer curved ergonomic handle provides a comfortable grip and features 7 signature black dots which represent the 7 Samurai codes of honor and moral principles.
COLLECTION
12.5-degree blade edge is polished by hand for exceptional long-lasting endurance.
Unique thumb rest gives added comfort and control.
Each blade is individually hammered by hand and designed so that small hollows create air pockets between the blade so food elegantly falls away from the surface.
