TRAINING IN INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY LAW FOR PROFESSIONALS AND NEWCOMERS Intellectual property refers to the claim of ownership on ideas, drafts, inventions such as technical developments, logos and designs; simply put – creations of the human intellect.

As these innovations have often been created at great expense, development engineers, businesses and research institutes, for example, should protect the results of their work against misuse by registering their Intellectual Property (IP). This subject area comprises five different fields, namely trademark, patent, utility model, design and competition law. Remaining up to date in all these fields is a comprehensive task. career changers such as patent law clerks and candidates and formalities officers. IP for IP GmbH courses are also adapted for legal specialists, training them on the current jurisdiction in the subject areas of patent, utility model, design and trademark law in advanced, flexible and adaptable seminars.

With IP for IP, Ms Huppertz, who sits on the board of examiners for patent law clerks and who also prepares the candidates for this examination, offers flexible, practical, personal and well-organised training on IP. She emphasises: “Next to expertise and practical relevance I also focus on personal contact. The speakers and myself are available for technical questions even after the courses. Once a year we also organise the PAFA conference, which brings formalities officers up to date with current developments. This year it’s going to take place in November. We are looking forward to many participants and interesting talks.”
