The Parents’ Home in Mansfeld brings Luther's childhood and adolescent years to life. He spent formative years here, and the exhibition makes this era tangible through archaeological finds and historical contexts. In Eisleben, visitors can experience two significant parts of Luther’s life: his birthplace and the house where he died. "The latter deals with Luther's last journey, his relationship with death, and demonstrates how our view on dying has changed through the Reformation," Gottschalk points out. "The staged historical death rooms are one of the highlights."

The Luther Memorials in Eisleben and Wittenberg, which have been UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1996, "are authentic locations of the Reformation with extraordinarily universal significance," emphasises UNESCO. Each of the five museums introduces its approximately 120,000 annual visitors to a different aspect of the Reformation and Luther's life.

Although the Luther House in Wittenberg has been closed since 01 November 2023 and will likely remain so until April 2025, the treasures of the museum can still be seen in the special exhibition "Literally Luther: Facets of a Reformer" at the neighbouring Augusteum.
