East London, United Kingdom
I have recently completed my Masters of Arts in Interior Architecture at University of Westminster (UK) and prior to that, i received my Bachelors of Arts with Honours, RIBA Part I at Kingston University, Kingston School of Art (UK). During my academic years, i gained valuable experience and insight into the field of architecture through various activities such as site visits, site surveys, photography, film making, model making, and drawing. I had the chance to work on a diverse range of projects, ranging from my first year undergraduate project “1:1 Joining Materials” which involved creating a temporary installation, to my final thesis project “Nothingness and Gaps in Spaces”. In terms of software proficiency, i am proficient in using Vectorworks for 2D drawing and SketchUp for 3D model making. My primary architectural interests lie in construction techniques and infusing designs with dynamic character.
Beyond academia, my hands on experiences in the hospitality sector, including roles such as Evening Room Attendant at Hamyard Hotel in London, have provided invaluable insights into guest service and operations management. These experiences have underscored the importance of attention to detail, efficiency, and professionalism in delivering exceptional hospitality experiences. As a versatile professional with a proactive and collaborative approach, I thrive in dynamic environments where innovation is valued. With a diverse skill set ranging from art, design, hospitality, gardening, and robotics, I am known for my adaptability, confidence, and commitment to excellence. I excel in collaborative settings, valuing input from colleagues and fostering positive relationships with clients. Finally, I am eager to leverage my skills and experience to make meaningful contributions to the design and hospitality industry.

MA Interior Architecture Thesis Project

The project focuses on nothingness; a concept of emptiness and the significance of gaps within a space.
The aim is to explore the intricate relationship between the absence of physical and emotional elements within our surroundings by utilising various visual techniques that transform rooms within the Whitechapel Gallery. The process involves various techniques like digital imaging and photogrammetry, creating an outcome that will be an entirely new range of texture patterns and forming new geometrical meshes within the existing gallery space.
The Whitechapel Gallery’s accessibility primarily influenced the choice of the first floor gallery spaces as the site. The staircase leading to the first floor presented as a stopping point, temporarily pausing the wandering. This began the concept of thresholds that now symbolise the roles of boundaries and barriers, distinguishing the public from the private. The project aims to create contrast as the public moves from the ground floor to the first floor, initiating a narrative that explores the intricate relationship between the real and the virtual. This was achieved by purposefully introducing boundaries, ultimately leading to the theme of “nothingness”.
The main photographic method uses the photogrammetry technique which involves replicating an object or a space through various angles and perspectives. Each replicated room is the result of images combined using the Metashape software to create a 3D photographic model of the gallery space while adding depth and dimensionality to certain areas. This process allows for replicating most surfaces and highlights how different parts of the gallery have been transformed and superimposed on each other, creating a unique and surreal experience for the viewer.
The initial aim of using photogrammetry was to create an accurate and precise model of the exhibition spaces in the Whitechapel Gallery. However, the outcome of the photogrammetry technique revealed several limitations One of the significant limitations of this approach was the use of only 200 images to construct the 3D model, which inevitably resulted in some parts of the gallery being either missed or distorted. Furthermore, the objects, artworks, and people present within the space significantly affected how the photogrammetry technique captured the environment, subsequently influencing the replicas’ outcome. It was as if this photogrammetry approach had given birth to a new spatial dimension within the original space, which required further investigation and understanding.
