SAFETY
Common sense please. Sale day can stress these otherwise very quiet animals. Please be aware at all times of your position relative to others in the pen and do not overcrowd the pens. If you do not want to enter the pens please ask the staff to move the bulls to you. No children in the pens. Animal welfare is our priority.
GENETIC TESTING
All lots have been genetic tested for the relevant breed society conditions.
BREEDPLAN
All bulls have full Breedplan EBV’s and all bulls have had genomics testing to enhance the EBV accuracy. The breed percentiles are at the bottom of each lot’s figures. Please see the relevant information about Breedplan on the HAL or Angus websites.
SOUNDNESS & HEALTH
All lots will be vet checked by Chris Hallet (Coolah Vet Hospital) prior to sale. All bulls have been semen morphology tested to a minimum of 70%.
All lots vaccinated and drenched as appropriate. Bulls have been fed on pasture or crop with access to DDG due to the season. Bulls have not been Vibro vaccinated.
JD BIOSECURITY
Mullamuddy is J-BAS 6 status. Cattle will be held for any interstat tests free of charge. Should cattle react the sale will be cancelled.
WELCOME TO THE 2025 VPC BULL SALE
Thank you for taking the time to look at the 2025 VPC Catalogue. This will be our 5th sale and the bulls are progressing in quality with a very dedicated breeding programme. In the Poll Herefords, we have focused on getting high levels of calving ease in our animals and increasing carcass volume and quality. We have been able to do this while maintaining very good structural soundness and high levels of fertility in our females. This year the bulls are extremely thick and have tremendous muscle shape. We have concentrated on bulls that will fatten easily on grass or in the feedlot and hit target weights quickly. This ability to mature quickly is essential to able to get their sisters in calf early to increase herd production and meet sustainability targets.
There are Poll Hereford bulls for every market on offer. A feature of the sale is that almost all bulls have heifer credentials but will grow on to be meaty herd bulls. This will really increase our clients’ calving ease into the future and negate the need to buy pure heifer bulls.
There is a big line of Injemira Robert Redford Q287 bulls on offer. He is simply the best bull we have used and his daughters have bred extremely well. We offer our first calves of Yalgoo Quartz R132. They are an impressive bunch of very heavy muscled, and well pigmented bulls. We also have magnificent bulls by the Churchill Red Thunder bull. The standout being VP Red Thunder U061 who is bang on the type we are trying to breed, with serious muscle and super data.
In our Angus herd we have been flushing a set of donor cows from cows purchased from Millah Murrah and Bowen studs as well as some home bred cows. The ability to start with such an elite line of cows is a privilege and a credit to the programmes they came from. It has given our Angus herd a super base, and the bulls show this. We have started with females with a super structure and confirmation. Maintaining structure is our priority to ensure bull longevity. We are also focusing on that beef bull shape.
The bulls for sale really show the muscularity the Angus breed is renowned for.
There are 14 Angus bulls, as we had a year with a much higher percentage of females born that year. The Millah Murrah Powerpoint Q193 bulls have super muscle shape, and the Millah Murrah Paratrooper P15 sons are exceptional. We have MM Rembrandt, MM Kruze Time and Sitz Dignity as the ET calves.
Next year we will have 20 plus 2-year-old Angus bulls and plan to increase this to 30 bulls in the year after, now that we have developed a larger Angus herd base.

Redford has been a game changer of all that have used him. He is one of the most consistent bulls we have used. The lines of females we have are simply outstanding and are producing very well. His data set is as good as it gets and more over the progeny look like their numbers. The bulls in the sale are heavy topped and deep bodied but it is their beautiful hair and softness that will impress. There are a number of stud sire prospects and well as lines of super commercial bulls.
We used Red Thunder as an outcross to our programme and to capture his high muscling and maintaining calving ease. He has not disappointed at all. They are a very muscular line of bulls with excellent structure and feet. Exceptional Breedplan is a bonus too. The U061 bull is a serious stand out.

We chose to use Broadway sire to capture the outstanding Churchill cow programme and the proven York bull. Broadway has a super data package as well with high calving ease and high growth. High IMF is a bonus. His heifer calves are dark, soft and high quality.
We purchased Quartz due to his super visual muscle shape. He has bred extremely well producing real meat bulls and very feminine females. His bulls are a treat in both the muscle department as well as being well pigmented. Got to love those panda eyes. Quartz has grown into a very big and impressive individual. He has the best muscle pattern I have seen on a Poll Hereford bull.

We purchased Powerpoint as a yearling and he has bred outstanding progeny. Powerpoint is thick, athletic, perfect structure and easy calving. His bulls are the same.
Paratrooper need nothing said about him except that he has breed very consistently for us. His daughters are at the forefront of our future and weaned very heavy calves this year. The bulls in the sale are a very even and coupled with the R48 bulls make a super bunch.

We saw Rembrandt and decided to use him in our ET programme. A good decision as the bulls are fantastic and just like him. I like his depth and thickness. A real beef bull. We had good success with Paratrooper and R48 allowed the impressive N60 cow into our herd. His data set is very handy as well.
We opted to use the US bull Dignity as he is a grandson of the Stella bull. We have been impressed with them as a group and will have a good number next year. They have good scale and structural integrity with good muscle shape. The daughters are very impressive. Tom visited Sitz ranch last year and was impressed with the Dignity progeny.
