Cancer Innovation Challenge

On August 28, 2024, the Cancer Innovation Challenge was officially launched. This pioneering initiative represents a collaboration between the SBRI Centre of Excellence in Wales and the Innovation and Market Development Unit in Northern Ireland. The Challenge is specifically designed to elicit innovative solutions that aim to enhance early and swift cancer diagnosis, reduce waiting times, enhance treatment efficiency, and provide comprehensive support for palliative care.
We invite innovators, entrepreneurs, and healthcare technology trailblazers to participate in the Cancer Innovation Challenge, offering a unique opportunity to instigate change and contribute significantly to the battle against cancer. A funding allocation of £1,000,000 is presently earmarked for a selection of projects, (though this amount may be subject to adjustment based on the number/quality of submissions received). We are seeking a broad range of projects, from rapid or low-cost demonstrations to large scale demonstrators.
