Saresh Babita Group (SBG) is a consolidated firm of diverse enterprises. It was founded in 2018 to affiliate and deliver its products with one business name Its inception dates back to 1995, when the present day Chairman of SB Group and the Executive Director of Everest Group, Mr. Saresh Kumar Saraff, ventured into sugar manufacturing and distribution in
Nepal. This success was followed by a series of new and varying business establishments that have evolved into market leaders in Nepal. Today, SBG leads six diverse business sectors with one passion: delivering the best of all products.
Sulphurless sugar is defined as sugar without additives and with traces of sulfur that are less than five ppm, provided that the remaining specifications are almost identical to those of plantation white sugar The refined sugar's quality was virtually equal to that of the sulphurless sugar.
The sulfur level of plantation white sugar, made using the double sulphitation method, ranges from 20 to 70 ppm, occasionally even more. Defecation, followed by melt clarification/melt carbonation, and recrystallization procedure, shall be used in place of the double sulphitation step in manufacturing sulfur free sugar.
a) Juice sulphitation followed by syrup sulphitation.
b) By using the sulphured syrup, follow the natural crystallization process.
The following changes will be made in the plantation white sugar process to produce sulphurless/refined sugar.
a) Change in juice clarification process from sulphitation to defecation
b) Production of high quality raw sugar by using the crystallization method in place of plantation white sugar.
c)Again, the raw sugar was melted, and clarifications of raw sugar were melted by the phosflotation / carbonation process and then followed by re crystallization for the production of sulphurless sugar.
d) Further decolorization of clarified melt by IER, PAC, and GAC and re crystallization for the production of refined sugar. . Description Unit

Sediment ppm <10
The following are the main benefits of producing sugar without sulfur as opposed to white sugar from plantations that have undergone twofold sulfurization. Better quality, sulfur free sugar for human consumption
a)The sugar generated using the Sulfur-Less Sugar Process has a substantially better keeping quality than the sugar produced using the Sulfitation Process
b) Since the highly toxic SO2 is no longer used to process sulfur free sugar, there is no SO2 gas emission. And the corrosion levels are deficient, greatly extending the life of the specific equipment in use, the piping and surrounding equipment, roof trusses, and plant support structures. Such corrosion related rectifications result in a complete reduction in maintenance costs
d)The flotation process removes fine bagacillo, which lowers the number of insoluble materials in sugar
e) Better color quality control, as variations in clear juice or low grade seed/sugar color don't directly impact the completed product
f) Inversion loss can be reduced since the pH of all materials isbetter- kept virtually neutral It will impact the acceleration of recovery.
a) Energy usage for steam and electricity will increase compared to the plantation white sugar process. The steam percentage of the cane will rise by around 5 to 6%, and the power consumption will increase by about 5 KW per ton of sugarcane
b)The number of boilings caused the viscosity of the "C" massecuite's final products and molasses to increase.
b) Compared to white sugar production, the sulfurless sugar method was more complicated.
