The grand painting in the Mural Room of the Santa Barbara Courthouse was painted in 1928 by Dan Sayre Groesbeck. Beginning with the Chumash watching the arrival of the Spanish, the mural depicts historic events including the construction of the Santa Barbara Mission. The Mural Room has become an iconic part of Santa Barbara’s culture and community.

Founded in 1916, the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History has established major collections in anthropology, earth sciences and zoology, producing major scientific works and offering diverse educational programs. The SBCO is excited to continue its tradition of bringing together history and music at this unique venue.

Its central location and charming setting make it a highly sought after location for numerous reasons. The ambiance created from the historic decor and beautiful surrounding gardens makes it an intimate venue for the SBCO.
