The Sawmill story of shared prosperity Sawmill’s founding families faced a common crossroad.

The sale of their respective timber industry businesses necessitated a decision: How to proceed with newly liquid wealth and plan for the needs of future generations.

Both families subsequently established individual family offices to manage their complex financial affairs.

Over time, however, sharing the costs of a combined family office became a logical path forward.

This shared-cost model proved to be a compelling solution, attracting other families to join as clients. By remaining independent of large institutions, Sawmill provides flexibility and eliminates unwanted bias, enabling clients to invest alongside one another with aligned interests.

Since its inception, Sawmill has grown as a dedicated provider of in-house fiduciary, investment, estate and tax planning services. Today, we continue to welcome a limited number of new families with $25 million of investable assets, while maintaining a focused and personal service model of excellence.
