rom the amazingly creative catering company, Thomas the Caterer, here, we chat to the man himself, Thomas about his passion for food and love for his craft. What made you decide to launch your catering business? I saw the need for a truly bespoke wedding catering business, when we were looking for a wedding caterer for our Tipi wedding. At that time, all we could find was pre written menus with lack lustre flavours (the exact opposite of what we have created here at TTC) ... Luckily I had my work buddies to cater for me in the end! Describe your style and the way you present your food My style is relaxed, flavoursome and great looking, we are all about the flavour here at TTC. It has got to pack a punch and deliver on the palate, our service style is attentive but not in your face - we certainly don’t hover behind you with a napkin folded over our forearm!
... that’s cool! Being able to recreate their dreams for their wedding day is incredible, just call me “Thomas the dream maker”! Describe your ‘typical’ wedding breakfast It’s full of awesome! We haven’t got a typical one I guess, as everyone is different. Just like the bride and groom, all our menus are different. Who would be your dream dinner date? Can I have 7? John Lennon, Liam Gallagher, John Squire, Madonna as I want to have a laugh about her falling off the stage at The Brits, Richard Branson and Walt Disney. Who and what inspires you? Inspiration comes from many different areas ... eating out, holidays, cookery books and my travels around the world. However recently it has come from the brides & grooms who visit me at Thomas Towers and tell me all about their wedding and what they envisage
