is an event that reminisces on our old times and allows us recreate fond memories through outdoor showing of classic films. By showing classic movies, with a live band and DJ playing old-time hits. We try to travel back in time, for some; to relive a few hours in the golden age and others get to get a taste of the golden years. It’s the perfect substitute for couples and families whose idea of a Sunday afternoon is to curl up on the couch for a movie and spend some time together.

...event that does not just celebrate old memories but lets you make new ones. This year we have a little something for the fashion trendy families; get spotted in family mix and match outfits and get rewarded!!! Kids under 12yrs come in for FREE but should have adult supervision.

Part of the proceeds from the tickets goes to proving this experience to the children for whom this is inaccessible. Golden Footprints recognises the need of film in opening up these children perception to the world around them.

Join us for a funfilled, heartfelt event that does not just celebrate old memories but lets you make new ones. Proudly brought to you by Golden Footprints.

Whether we like it or not, how we look and how we dress affects how we are perceived by others. That’s why in business or at the workplace, it is important to project the right image. Seeing that we spend at least 8 hours a day at work, work clothes make up a major part of our wardrobe. We want to look good and professional and still break the monotony of everyday work attire by taking a few fashion risks. Here are a few things to consider when it comes to professional wardrobe choices; For Women 1. Find what works for you – find out what goes well with your body type or shape. Whether you are having your outfits tailor made or store bought, it might take several tries to find what works for you. 2. Its an Office not a Club, tone down the Sexy! – Not only is wearing provocative clothing distracting, it can also give off an inaccurate impression. People end up discrediting themselves by looking too provocative. Hence one should avoid outfits that have plunging necklines, too short hemlines or expose undergarments. The safest hemline is at the knee, not going and a neckline not lower than 4 inches from your collarbone. 3. Don’t over accessorize – Accessories are meant to complement your outfit, not overpower it. Less is more. 4. Its an Office not a Cook Out, not too casual! – In today’s workplace, where casual is becoming increasingly popular, one should be careful not to go overboard. For example, jeans necessitate a more formal pairing like a blazer or official blouse. Sleeveless tops should extend to the end of your shoulder and not spaghetti straps.

A sheer top should be worn with a camisole underneath. 5. Own an iron and use it - Make sure all items are ironed and wrinkle-free as possible. Wrinkled outfits tend to make one look unkempt and unprofessional. 6. Buy Quality pieces – Invest in good quality pieces that will stand the test of time. It pays to invest in several good quality outfits than multiple poor quality ones. For Men 1. Facial hair shouldn’t overwhelm your face – find a cut that works for you by checking what kind of facial features and shape you have. Not every look is good on every person. 2. Your socks need to be an appropriate length – when you cross your legs and the pants slightly lift up, no skin should be showing. 3. The standard suit and tie still has a strong place in the professional world. Invest in a good quality suit. Finally, both men and women, closed toe shoes are most appropriate for a professional look. By Stella Mapenzi (Fashion Designer & Blogger)

In December 24th, we launched a new event unlike anything we’d created before. Finally we created a community of others who just “get it” -people who don’t think it’s weird to want to improve the party scene and break away from boring events .The response was heavenly , it felt like a big sigh of relief. It felt like coming home. When we launched the event; which is a community where people can meet each other and party for a worthy course. We had no idea what would happen. To our surprise, from day 1, Colour Splash was an instant success. People loved it. The next Edtion of the Mombasa colour splash is on 15th April 2017 at Butterfly Pavillion Felix Kavii | CEO of Eye-con Photography |Colour Splash Afrika Event Co-ordinator
