PunarVaas Type : VILLA Role : Freelance Status : Construction

The Site is located in Karnal, Haryana, over an area of 46,939 sq.ft. In addition to communal spaces, villa houses often incorporate private retreats, such as master suites and guest rooms. These areas are designed with privacy and relaxation in mind, featuring luxurious amenities such as en-suite bathrooms, walk-in closets, and private balconies or terraces. The bedrooms are positioned strategically to maximize views and create a tranquil atmosphere for restful nights.

As an architect, my goal is to create villa house designs that not only fulfill the FUCTIONAL needs of the residents but also reflect their unique personalities and aspirations.

Each villa is a testament to the artistry and craftsmanship of architecture, a sanctuary where individuals can find solace, inspiration, and create lasting memories.

From an architectural point of view, a cremation ground holds immense significance in Hindu Sanatan Dharma, the oldest living religion in the world. In Hinduism, the cremation ground, also known as the “smashan” or “shmashana,” is a sacred space where the final rites of a deceased person are performed. It is a place where the physical body is offered to the flames, marking the transition of the soul to the next realm.

The architecture of a Hindu cremation ground is designed to facilitate the ritualistic practices and beliefs associated with death and the afterlife. While the specific design may vary across regions and communities, there are certain common elements that are typically present.

In Hindu Sanatan Dharma, the cremation ground is considered a sacred space where the soul begins its journey towards liberation or reincarnation. The architectural elements of a cremation ground are intricately woven with religious and spiritual beliefs, aiming to create an environment conducive to the rituals, practices, and the ultimate spiritual transformation of the departed soul.

Cremation grounds are often situated on the outskirts of towns or cities, away from residential areas. This placement ensures that the smoke and ashes from the pyres do not cause any inconvenience to the living. Moreover, the separation from urban spaces symbolizes the detachment from the material world and the transcendence into the spiritual realm.

Cremation grounds often feature religious icons and symbols associated with Hindu deities and spiritual practices. These may include statues of Lord Shiva, the god of destruction and transformation, as well as representations of other deities and mythological figures.

Fire Pit: The central element of a cremation ground is the fire pit, where the funeral pyre is built. The fire pit represents Agni, the Hindu god of fire, who is believed to be a medium between the physical and spiritual realms. The pyre is carefully constructed using specific wood types and arrangements as prescribed by ancient texts and rituals

Ahsaas Type : Academic Role : Ideas Status : Completed

This Design problem deals with Polytechnical College to be constructed over 13000 sqM. in Udaipur, Lauhal Spiti, H.P , INDIA. The site is a contoured site with average elevation of 1’6” per meter.and is located between ver hight altitude massive mountains. The Place is a major hub for over 78 Villages, and is the last town before Pangi Valley.

Construction of a polytech college will result in the development and helping the local population get educated of the area and the surrounding villages. The climate of the area is DRY-COLD, and recieves ample sunlight throughtout the day.

The contours of the site are linear is is located on a simgle slope. The major concept for this Design was to foloow the contours similarly to what the adjoining village of Udaipur has done to survive and thrive in such weather. The buildings have been oriented north to south as on the east the backdrop for the site is a huge rocky mountain, so to increase the surface area of the building recieving sunlight can be increased and maximum of the heat could be captured by using the local methods of TROMBE WALL and the structural integrity of KATH-KUNI form of Architecture to retain the oraginality to the place and the people of Udaipur and the surround villages.

Also, the idea of constructive education was kept in mind from the analysis of a Guru-Kul, to incorporate the surrounding environment into the education which helps not only educational but also knowledgable growth of a person.
