Next steps
If after reviewing your permit options the current one still meets your requirements then you do not need to do anything, and it will automatically be changed to the new charge rate Please note that if you cancel your permit it ceases to be valid from midnight on the day you cancel it
Alternatively, you may want to make one of the following changes:
Cancel your permit if you choose to not park on site and use the Park & Ride, flexible pay-asyou-go option (not available until 1 April) or choose to cycle or walk to work
Move from a 22.5 hour or 37.5 hour permit to a 15 hour or 30 hour permit group if that is nearer your contracted hours
Choose the flexible pay-as-you-go option if you park on site infrequently and cancel your current permit and join this permit group This option is available from Tuesday 1 April
Any changes should be made by 1 April 2025 and to opt for a different type of permit colleagues will need to end their current permit and re-apply for a new permit
Colleagues at satellite sites who wish to park on site need to apply for their permit by Tuesday 1 April 2025

Park & Ride update
free drinks claimed so far
We are extending the patient Park & Ride trial whilst we work towards making this a permanent service for patients and visitors to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital
We know that our patients have really welcomed the option of parking off site and using the Park & Ride and that this is enhancing their experience of coming to the hospital Patients can now use the service at any time and it will still be free of charge until we have put the proper processes in place for a paid service.
The service will be charged at £1 return for patients and visitors when the trial ends
Park & Ride at Princess Royal Hospital
We need more colleagues to use the service at PRH A recent feedback survey found that 100% of those asked about the PRH Park & Ride would recommend it to a colleague and 100% rated the overall service as excellent. You can find more information on how to register, on the intranet.
