PRAKRITI - A Rural Library

SITE PLAN

Anglong, Assam. The project primarily focuses on establishing a sustainable library that can serve the community. By utilizing shared resources, the aim is to provide a familiar environment for the users, particularly children. Additionally, the library aims to create a safe space for children to gain knowledge and stay updated with current information. An integral feature of the library is a bridge located beneath a large tree, which offers shade and improved ventilation during the summer months while enhancing connectivity between different sections of the facility.

Euphoria - A Residential Project

SITE PLAN

This residential project, located in New Shillong, is designed for a family of three. The site features gentle contours with variations of up to 1 meter. The house incorporates a thoughtful arrangement of private, semiprivate, open, and connective spaces. Emphasis is placed on maximizing natural lighting and creating engaging spaces to maintain a vibrant atmosphere.

NAMAMI - A Cultural Centre

Site Location

SITE PLAN

The existing site is located in NH715, Dolapani, Assam. The concept behind the design of cultural centre is to bridge the connection between the culture and tradition between the two districts i.e, Nagaon and Tezpur. The form of the building resembles assamese ‘thapona’ which is cultural tradition in assam that people worship. Hence, it was an attempt to create a new dimension of the form of historic buildings in assam with a modern twist.

The present site is situated in Fancy Bazaar, Guwahati, Assam. The design concept centers around capturing the essence of the bazaar by emulating its optimal state, integrating a range of functions and activities commonly found in vibrant markets. Contemporary approaches are also incorporated while preserving the distinctive features that define the identity of Fancy Market.
