Architecture P ortfolio
A rchitecture has redefined my lens through distinct perspectives. In my humble view, Architecture is about designing spaces that help to weave together the built and unbuilt environment where the tangible and the intangible meet. Making connections between structures, their context, and the People is the essence of Architecture.
It entails designing environments that not only satisfy the most basic needs but also stimulate and enrich the human experience. Furthermore, I believe in promoting design where people are focused; that is, design should be more contextual, inclusive, and accessible to all segments of society, with an emphasis on sustainability & the creation of social capital that benefits everyone who breathes.
I consider myself naturally curious who is always willing to learn new things and is receptive to criticism. I see myself as diligent and approach every problem with determination by collaborating, contributing, and giving my best in the things I do.

Role of Design and Management of Public Restrooms in shaping Perceptions and Health of users in Urban context.
Public restrooms in cities often face challenges such as poor design, poor maintenance, bad odour, and security concerns. To make cities more inclusive, accessible, and practical, Public Restroom provision should be a crucial design and planning consideration. This thesis explores the concept of public restrooms, their function, and their association with other public spaces. It suggests that well-planned, inclusive community outdoor spaces can improve people’s health and quality of life. Public restrooms should not be seen as intruders but as part of the public space, adding value beyond just toilet use.

This studio focuses on the dialectics between designed and lived space arguing that spontaneity is an overlooked yet fundamental human characteristic that is revealed in the formation of the physical environment. The objective was:
• To prove how the public realm is formed through everyday life of people and how it can be translated into current urban scenario.
• To evaluate the relationship of the urban spatial configurations to the experiences and understandings of everyday public spaces.
• To seek an understanding of the different ways in which people evaluate understand, appropriate and use everyday public spaces.
• To architecturally demonstrate how these places could be redeveloped through the lens of micro urbanism to associate it with city public places.

The purpose of the project was to provide a visitors center alongside the wetland area in Navi Mumbai. This will be a place where people will be away from the hassle free environment where they will feel more connected to nature. This visitors center will itself speak for the environmental awareness, sustainability and community bonding.

The Construction workers are an integral part of the construction industry, however they are not given much importance and are exploited. The intent of the brief was to design flexible dwelling units for construction workers that caters to their need and builds a sense of community.
The brief of the competition was to redesign the Architecture School
The brief of the competition was to showcase Innovative usability of the structure of the building/urban furniture/urban infrastructure that prioritises passive systems, productivity & production of renewable energy infrastructure.
The Competition was to design Net-zero-energy-water, affordable, and resilient design solutions for real, live projects, to combat Climate Change through the buildings sector.
COURTYARD CONCEPT
Courtyards facilitate the integration of indoor and outdoor spaces. The combination of unbuilt with built spaces provides for mutual counterpoints.
Sri Chakra is the Yantra of the Cosmos. Angan(courtyard): four corners of the Universe Brahmasthan is the main centre of any plot.
WEST ELEVATION
RAMMED FLY-ASH WALLS
Plot should be fixed for open space.Construction in the centre of plot means blocking the main energy.
BRICK WALLS
In the Indus Valley Civilization courtyards were considered as 'Brahmasthals’ or the soul of a house . The houses were planned as a series of rooms opening on to a central courtyard. The courtyard served the multiple functions of lighting the rooms, acting as a heat radiator in summer and absorber in winter, as well as providing an open space inside for community activities.

Material:
Waste stone dust from nearby quarry
Waste fly ash from adjoining factory (by-product)
Technique:
First a formwork is constructed for the walls.
A mixture of natural materials is poured into this formwork. The mix is compacted by tamping till it is sufficiently strong. After the wall is completed, the formwork is removed.
Merits:
By inverting the roof profile with a center valley in the middle and rising edges, the interior spaces are visually connected with the foliage outside. The separation of the roof from the walls, while providing much needed cross ventilation, also scales the building towards the courtyard.
Material:
Locally sourced bricks
Cement mortar
Lower thermal conductivity of rammed earth keeps the interiors cool.

The Jetvana Centre is a bricolage of locally sourced and recycled materials. The design centers on the revival of local artisanal knowledge, technologies, and skills, working with communities to develop the capacity to shape their own habitats using their own methods. Its materiality and construction tell a story of context, tradition, and history through an embodiment of local knowledge and labour.
‘‘Buddhism has very close relation with the plants, as per the Buddhist scriptures, nature creates as well as preserves life, it is the duty of people to preserve plants considering them as living being. A Buddhist monk never cuts down a tree, as the trees have life in them and they believe that it is an abode of the deity.’’

SITE OVERVIEW
Pupil Tree Academy located in Talur road, in Bellary district, is a residential school and college, established in 2005. It covers 20840 m2 of built up area. The school is an icon for institutional heritage.
The idea behind its design was to set out to change the way schooling is perceived. It exemplifies how vernacular architecture along with modern innovations can transform our educational spaces.
SITE JUSTIFICATION
LOCAL RELEVANCE
Pupil tree international school was built and designed with the aim to respect mother nature. Instead of being a high-rise building, it stretches on land on the outskirts of the city, amidst farmlands.
VERNACULAR ARCHITECTURE OF KARNATAKA
Its free flowingly planned landscape and use of local vegetation makes it fit for the immediate context. On a broader level, it matches with the context due to the use of vernacular materials like stone, mud, bricks, and thatch, which have stood the test of time and climate. It also incorporates several elements that are particular to South Indian architecture such as pitched roofs, courtyards and more.
RELATING TO THE PAST
THE GURUKUL SYSTEM
Pupil tree academy is an example of communal infill architecture. It blends into the surrounding context more in terms of the intangible aspects than the tangible ones. It fits into the homogenous values and social integrity of Bellary, and passes on the traditional morals and local culture of the place to its students, irrespective of their distinct background.
Being a residential school, students are taught to do their own chores as was the way in Gurukuls. Learning in open spaces amidst nature is highly encouraged, evident from the seating spaces provided around trees and amphitheaters. A large area in the school campus dedicated to art block shows the importance given to extra-curricular activities.
Vernacular architecture of Karnataka symbolises houses designed and built by people for their own use through a system of development in a precise cultural, climatic and technological context. Fig 2c. Courtyard act as a micro-climate modifier The presence of water in courtyards helps in evaporative cooling, thus enhancing the overall microclimate.
