We got married on my (and my dad's) birthday. Michael worked with Casey at the Lodge to have a small birthday cake brought out for my dad and I it was the sweetest thing ever. Also, since I have a 13 year old daughter from a previous marriage, we included her by having me dance with her after my dance with Michael. It was to "In My Daughter's Eyes" by Martina McBride and then Michael danced with her to "My Wish" by Rascall Flatts. There were lots of happy tears during those songs
advice to pass along... DIY can be your BF! Save your money for the big
things, like your photos and your DJ, and then DIY where you can like I did making my own centerpieces and customizing the invitations I found online. But know your limits with DIY - I would never try to make the mantle and balcony garland (or if I did it would never look as beautiful as Samantha's flowers!). Final note on my centerpieces and ecoflowers - I am able to keep them forever.
