ACTIVITY SPACES

Park

Recreation area

The space under the bridge allow people to gathering and do activities together. Usually Football, Skateboard, and roller skates are happening here. Along with some food carts and people spend their time eating and relaxing next to the river.

The park oftenly occupied by visitors during early morning (6-9am) and afternoon time (4-8pm). Many people come to running and exercise such as badminton, aerobic, and yoga.

The recreation area is located next to the river in the park.

It provides space for large group of people. Without the enclosure, it allows people to take direct view from the bridge and river and be close to nature. The activity that occurs here often are yoga, running, and aerobic.

ACCESSIBILITY

Car: Access from Arun Amarin 36 road. The road linkage to Rama VIII bridge. Continuous across the river.

Pedestrian: The main access is from Arun Amarin 36 road. The community of Wat Dao and Phra Ya Siri Iyasawan can access from the back of the site next to the temple.

Boat: The closest boat access is on the opposite river side of the site, people can take off at the King Rama 8 Bridge Pier and walk across the bridge to the site.

MRT: The nearest station is Bang Yi Khan station. However, it is not close enough to walk so the visitor then have to take motorcycle or taxi to the site.

STRUCTURAL DIAGRAM The structure using beam with column system. Consist of 3 levels of columns.

According to the height variation in each space, some columns go high up to support to third floor at 18 meters high. Second floor column go up to 12 meters high, and first floor at 6 meters high.

MATERIALS The structure is mainly use concrete for walls and floors.

Plastering with plaster to get the smooth surface for both interior and exterior. To give dimension to the surface, using the white plaster with a little shade of gray.
