THA DIN DAENG Resident

The residential project located within the area of Tha Din Daeng and China town area, full of culture and uniqueness. Design approach is to express the uniqueness, become an attraction, and connect community together.

INTERIOR/SHAREDSPACE PERSPECTIVE

In the part of interior space and shared space, the design is aiming to achieve spaces that allow users to get close to nature, get view of the river and surrounding city while having them as their personal space as well. In result, every rooms has access to private balcony, and most of the shared space has balcony which allow users to see surrounding view.

SITEANALYSIS Tha Din Daeng pier, Klongsan, Bangkok

From site visit and analysis the surrounding area, the site is located in the community area, next to the main transportation by water and many temples and churchs are located nearby, which shows how the location is rich in culture and religious.

According to that I gathered the data of nearby temples and in the end, many Chinese temples are in located in the area especially in the opposite are of china town.

USERANALYSIS CONCEPTUALDIAGRAM

The target for the building is the group of creative people who like to explore in the difference of cultural context. Another target group is people who work around the area of china town which they could cross the river to the site at Tha Din Daeng pier.

DESIGNCONCEPT& DEVELOPMENT

The design is inspired from the shape of dragon, which is one of the symbol of luck in the chinese believes. As the site is consist with many religious related context and community around the area has their believes, the design is connecting building with majority people in the area with their believes.
