Museum of remembrance
Experiential museum
Site location Mandapam camp Ramanathapuram.
Site area : 1,04,419 sqm (25 Acres).
INTRODUCTION
Ever wondered that whether it is possible to visit back certain timelines , and we know that it is impossible. But certain things can help , architecture which is the most efficient tool that can help us to visit certain timelines ,with the help of its experiential quality.
AIM
The focal area of the project is to design a museum which can take the visitors back to the timeline of the war and experience the pain that people went through during the course of the moment. Not just a museum , but a space of experience of the whole course of event.
Timebound is timeless - architecture
Using architecture as a tool timebound events can be made into timeless. Allows people from different regions to experience the emotions of the event went through by the people and its impact with the help of architecture. The tool is powerful that it will be possible to bring back the emotions of the people through the builtforms.

SITE ZONING
Strength
-The site which is not just other site but a site with backdrop (Refugees living nearby).
-Geographically near to sri lanka.
Abutting the national highway provides exposure to large number of peoples.
-Strong character related to theme of the project.
Threats
-There can also be a point where less exposure can happen through the site.
Weakness
-The Place has lesser convergence point.
-The place has lack of activation points, which makes the space less social.
Oppurtunities
-Can reach wider range of people (Tourist)
Oppurtunity of becoming a marker.
-Chance of making the context as a sense of place.
Layer of specifics
To experience the authenticity , the particular zone is inspired from the shape of the tamil eelam province from srilanka where major parts of war had happened. Like a documentation of war is built structure and peoples were meant to be the interpretation.

As life and narrative are always different and doesn‘t demands to be same.Narrative is something that always demands Important events one after another which are related to one another. A life can contain the important events but doesnt demand any connection between them.Narrative is more constructed where life is more random (Statement made comparitively)

BRIEF
The brief is to design an interdisciplinary campus with multidisciplinary courses, with desired programs.
INTERPRETATION
As it is an interdisciplinary college , the design thinking started with the courses and programs. A composite design programs as all the courses have their own majors and then can also mixed.
The design idea started with using architecture as a tool how can we enhance the program ? or integrate things to support the program indirectly. As academic is compulsory for students ,apart from academic what can we design in order to help the students in the courses they learn

Site selection factors
Site is always percieved as a product of its surroundings , a knitted cloth.

Redacting (visual redaction)the qualities of formal and large structures , inactivation , formalism from the surroundings.
Creating a space of its own , exploring unique characterstics , taking site into consideration and providing the needed wholistically to the site
Finding academical characterstics ,opinions , approach based on it and implementing it to only the academic core.

Inactivation
redact !
The whole redaction is about the negotiation of the redaction of site context and should support the program in a whole way. The redaction gives us a way or leading us to creation of seperate sense of place , which is what we term here as world. Wholistically we want to nullify the unecessary qualities with respect to the project and also implement the qualities which will support the interdisciplinary program.
4 Different disciplines share a similar programs with few distinctive activities in it. Utilizing it for shared communication for different students from different disciplines .
The 4 disciplines sharing a common program later forms a square within , which acts as a multipurpose space specifically as connection spaces.
The interactive core , which transforms into a dynamic core , which not only acts as a square for connecting people but also a pathway.

SCHOOL OF COMPUTER SCIENCE
A school with a interactive environment !
Many students in this realm will be dealing with something non-existent they will be spending lots of time in their works so to relieve them form this occupied space , an interactive environment created Where students will connect with themselves , interact with the natural environment unconsciously
Using the rule of pomdoro technique the school of computer science is divided into two parts classrooms and courtyard area. As the program is more focused and research oriented , the architecture tries to enhances the academic part and also providing a enhanced venting space for the students to a proper balance.
For the students to engage in the venting out space such as courtyards there comes the play of levels instead of a boring corridor / courtyard space.

SCHOOL OF BIOLOGY
An introverted space ,as the program is more focused , the school is visioned as a introverted space, no disturbance from the dynamic core of the academic block . School of computer science and biology shares the same startegies which is 50 : 50 adjacent program zoning. A un disturbing environment will help Conscientiousness GROUND FLOOR PLAN

SCHOOL OF HUMANITIES
A more organic space like a street. A expressive space !
Where a man can learn many things in a street which is open to everyone and there is no barrier to learning in a streets and dialogue between street-corridor gives life to the space.
As apart from the academic program , the students can learn from the streets ,specifically in an streets of india where one can understand the whole essence of the country, and when it comes to street , it is an unconsious observation process and many connections can happen between people , just like a market street. Humanities can be more learnt from the peoples outside but the values can be learned inside the classrooms.

SCHOOL OF BUSINESS
A more open and interactive space which have much more connection with the composite realm (Academic core ),a more extroverted space. The process had been carried out in order to get an effective communication between the students irrespective of years. As communication plays an important role in business program / career

Client expectation and scope on interior was less compared to architectural aspects, where the clients expected a very minimal ,calm and neat interior with slight religious touch in it. A light and creamy interior is envisioned and designed accordingly.

The social edge 4 Apartment design
BRIEF
The design brief is to design an apartment in the centre of an urban city.
INTERPRETATION
As the urban pace is growing very fast but in this fast pace urban area there is lot of disconnection between peoples , everyone is busy with what they are accumlated.Specifically in an apartment it is rare to see more connections between peoples.
The spark which had been brought me is what can i change in the traditional apartment design in order to enhance an communication between the people. Not a sudden and a big change but a change which can have higher possibility in real life.
