My process is based heavily on research and creating integrated systems. I enjoy focusing on technical details while also relying on empathy to create a functional & comfortable space. I am very interested in experimentation and new ways to go about an existing process.
It is my desire to enhance the lives of those around me using my drive, determination, and passion for a better world achieved through the built environment.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
The Wayland Mill hospitality
While at Weber Thompson, I had the opportunity to design The Wayland Mill, an all-day cafe and yoshoku bistro in Seattle’s Wallingford neighborhood. The goal was to create a welcoming “third place” outside of home and work- an inviting, comfortable space that fosters community and connection.
The design was inspired by kissatens, traditional Japanese-style tearooms known for their intimate, moody ambiance, and by the site’s history as the original Wayland cedar shingle mill. These influences shaped the material palette and spatial composition, blending cultural richness with a sense of place.
Housed within a newly constructed mass timber building, the cafe’s design embraced and celebrated the exposed wood structure.
PROJECT SCOPE
1,950 square feet of interior space that includes an all-day cafe, open kitchen, coffee service, wine bar, and two singleoccupancy restrooms.
DINING ROOM
MY PART
I served as the lead designer on the project under the guidance of my design principal. My responsibilities included developing 3D models, producing renderings, creating design presentations, and exploring multiple conceptual design schemes.
The project was modeled in Sketchup and rendered in Enscape, with the design presentation developed in InDesign.

PINE FOREST
Pine Forest Properties sought to develop a mid-rise multifamily building on an undeveloped site in Bellevue, Washington, with a design that reflected the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
The final concept drew inspiration not only from the region’s lush greenery but also from Washington’s state gemstone: petrified wood. This idea was expressed through a rich palette of natural wood planks, handmade tile, blackened steel, and terracotta blocks, creating a warm, grounded, and tactile interior experience.
With the architecture led by Weber Thompson, I collaborated closely with the in-house team throughout the design and documentation phases, ensuring a cohesive vision from exterior to interior.
PROJECT SCOPE
Total square footage of the project is 160,000 SF, which includes 135 units and 15 unique unit types.
Amenities on Level 1, Level 2, and Level 7 include the lobby, leasing, a co-working space, mail room, club room, media lounge, fitness center, dog wash, and restrooms.

MY PART
As lead interior designer on the project, I worked under the supervision of my design principal to develop the concept, schematic design, and construction documents for the amenity spaces. The design was modeled in Sketchup and rendered using Enscape. All construction documentation was completed using Revit.
I also assisted the architectural team with creating the 15 unique unit layouts that span the building.

ERA LIVING DINING
TO BE COMPLETED AUGUST 2025
Era Living is a senior living group with multiple communities across Seattle and Bellevue. As lead designer, I led refresh of the existing Magnolia Dining Room and Private Dining Room at their Bellevue community.
Inspired by the magnolia flower, the design incorporates custom broadloom carpet, new Kwalu dining chairs, suspended ceiling panels, updated paint, and wallcoverings. In the Private Dining Room, I designed custom casework to support a new wine-focused dining experience.
I led client meetings and resident presentations, incorporating community feedback to ensure the spaces reflect both comfort and a sense of home.
PROJECT SCOPE
2,100 square feet of an existing main dining room, and 350 square feet of the adjacent private dining room. New finishes, fixtures, and custom casework.
MAIN DINING
MY PART
I acted as the lead designer on this project- I was in charge of curating new FF&E, modeling and rendering the spaces, scheduling presentations, as well as developing construction documents.
I have been working closely with the Era Living project manager and contractor from concept design through construction administration.

LAUREL VILLAGE
Laurel Village is a new multi-family development consisting of three midrise buildings that contain a total of 352 units. Given the scale of the project, our team divided responsibilities, and I led the design for Building B’s key amenity spaces- including the fitness center, sport court, Overlook Lounge, and playroom.
Situated next to a popular running trail and designed for a demographic of graduate students and families, our goal was to create interiors that feel connected to nature while maintaining a refined, sophisticated tone.
We developed multiple design schemes for the client, who ultimately chose a combination of two- blending a modern cabin aesthetic with a strong emphasis on handcrafted materials and thoughtful detailing.
The Overlook Lounge looks onto the sport court below and functions as a lounge, workspace, and playroom. Despite its varied uses, the design was curated to feel cohesive and connected.
PROJECT SCOPE
Roughly 6,000 square feet of amenity space in a new building, which includes the fitness area, sport court, overlook lounge, playroom, restrooms, and amenity corridors.

MY PART
I collaborated with my interiors team to develop the overall concept for the 3 buildings, and implemented that concept into my portion of the scope in Building B.
I assisted the architectural team on unit kitchen modeling and layout, and created multiple unit finish schemes for the client to select from.
Throughout the design process, I collaborated closely with my team to develop the design and produce the full construction document set.

OFFICE TI
A client was relocating to a new office space that required renovations to align with their brand and serve as a welcoming environment for prospective clients.
We repurposed elements from their previous office, most notably, the wood slat feature from the original lobby, in order to stay within budget and reduce waste.
Being that the client is a construction firm specializing in wood and concrete, we highlighted these materials throughout the design. I was inspired by the company’s chevron motif in their branding and incorporated abstract interpretations of the pattern to tie the space together.
PROJECT SCOPE
A total of 15,000 square feet of an existing space to be renovated. Program includes a break room, lobby, golf simulator, private offices, open office, huddle spaces, and conference rooms.
ENTRY LOUNGE
MY PART
As lead interior designer on the project, I worked under the supervision of my design principal to develop the palette, schematic design, and construction documents. I coordinated closely with the client and reps in order to get accurate quotes and lead times.
The design was modeled in Sketchup and rendered using Enscape. All construction documentation was completed using Revit.

TIMBRE
Timbre was my team’s response to the 2024 Seattle Design Festival (SDF) Block Party theme of “What if?” Our thoughts and conversations led us to ask: what if structures could sing?
Composed of three architectural instruments supported by an interlocking timber armature that grounds the installation and celebrates low-carbon structural materials, timbre encourages visitors to delight in a world where the built environment is musical.
Bearing resemblance to the güiro, a grooved wooden percussion instrument heard mainly in Latin American music, we designed hollow wooden columns featuring kerfed patterns like those seen on the instrument.
As Seattle residents, our natural focus then shifted to rain; downspouts and rain leaders were quickly associated with rainsticks, particularly because of their obvious sound and their analogous function.
The railing, the final element, proved to be the trickiest, but, eventually, we discovered that chimes looked very similar to a row of balusters underneath a top rail.
With our partnership with Swinerton and Timberlab, we were able to utilize salvaged CLT panels and glulam beams to create the framework of the installation.

MY PART
I worked closely with two coworkers on the design and execution of the installation. In addition to providing initial sketches that aided in the final design, I also assisted with 3D modeling , constructing the instruments, and assisting with install at the festival site.
Best of all, I volunteered time on the event weekend and had the chance to see the public appreciate the installation.
