Sarah is an Australian surface pattern designer based in the stunning Atherton tablelands, nestled between the outback and the palm tree lined tropical beaches of Far North Queensland. She is surrounded by an endless source of natural beauty which often finds its way into her patterns. She is also inspired by family roadtrips, childhood memories growing up in Melbourne, as well as her four children whose creative imaginations and conversations feed a whimsical and joyful element to her work. Her patterns have a simple, elegant, hand drawn look with a modern vintage feel. It is her passion to create beautiful designs that will evoke an inner joy, warmth and hint of nostalgia, and make the world a more beautiful place one pattern at a time.

New Dawn

With a nod to the 70’s, New Dawn is a ‘nouvea retro’ collection, that blends natural motifs influenced by the raw and textural beauty found in Sarah’s local surroundings with 1970’s inspired geometrics. The sun kissed and earthy colour palette is inspired by break of dawn walks to the beach to watch the sunrise. As the sun peaks over the horizon, and darkness transitions to daylight we a reminded of the hope that each new day brings and the potential each of us has to build a bright and postive future. This versatile pattern collection seeks to brighten each day with patterns that are fun, nostalgic and warm the soul.
