Sarah Lily Yassine is an interdisciplinary practicing landscape architect , urbanist and politically engaged professional . She works on the conservation of Lebanon’s cultural landscapes through her role as ICOMOS Lebanon Secretary general.
She is currently establishing a Beirut based design practice. Sarah writes about places, (her) memory, and the relationship between landscape, belonging, wilderness and borderlands. She recently completed a Master in Landscape Architecture from PennDesign with an interdisciplinary (design/fine arts) thesis on landscape and borderlands . She lives between New York and Beirut and holds dual French and Lebanese citizenship.
