Showgoers brave the heat in Boorowa Boorowa Show Society Secretary Narelle Nixon has applauded the people of Boorowa for braving the heat and turning up to their local show. The mercury soared last Friday and Saturday, the days the Show ran across, with a high of 37 degrees recorded on the Saturday. While Ms Nixon conceded horticultural entries were down on last year, as well as the number of people walking through the gates,

she said it was still a Show that offered a great day out. “Our gate takings appeared to be down on ODVW \HDU EXW ZH KDYHQ¡W GRQH DQ H[DFW FRXQW yet, so I think it will only prove a minor drop anyway,â€? she said. Ms Nixon said the dog show, which was held on the Friday, proved to be one of the PRVW VXFFHVVIXO HYHQWV DW WKLV \HDU¡V 6KRZ ´:H¡UH DFWXDOO\ RQH RI WKH ODUJHVW FRXQWU\ show dog events,â€? she said.
