The skies come alive with colour throughout the year as balloons take flight in what is the perfect valley for ballooning. Whether you are on the ground or above it, it is an experience not to be missed. The skies aren’t the only thing that comes alive in Canowindra. Canowindra is also famous for The Age of Fishes Museum, which will take you back in time to discover treasures from under the earth that are 360-370 million years old. The fresh water fish fossils are a world-class collection and showcase this period of evolution. For a small country town there is so much to see and do in Canowindra.
