Due to the process of heating and cooling water needed for brewing and storing beer the building will rely on a WSHP system to heat and cool large quatities of water.

This is separate to the heating and cooling sysem needed for the building temperature.

THE BAKERS’ BREWHOUSE

THE BUILDING IS:

• A BAKERY IN THE MORNING

• A BREWERY IN THE DAY

• A PUB IN THE EVENING

DISRUPTING AN INDUSTRIAL PROCESS TO BE MORE SUSTAINABLE.

The process of making fresh artisnal bread creates a large amount of waste as the customer number for each day is unknown. In this factory the bakery takes waste bread not sold that day and ferments it into beer.

ENTERING THE BUILDING EAST FACING FOR MORNING LIGHT

The brewery runs as an example of sustainable process on an industrial scale. The comsumer walks up through the bakery to the brewery to see the beautiful machinery revealed. s

The pathway through is elevated and allows the factory processes beow to have flexible space and adjust the space to their needs as demand rises and falls.

The walkway leads to the three story bar which can be sectioned off for events. Flexibility to change of space is a very important aspect to keep this building useful and relevant in the years to come.
