SARA'S BAGEL SHOP PLANS + SECTION PERSPECTIVES + WALL SECTIONS Nestled between an orthagonal contemporary building and a traditional pitch-roofed house, Sara's Bagel Shop occupies a standard shotgun lot on Freret Street. Consisting of three primary spaces: the foyer, seating, and service areas, the spaces are interlocked. They convey heirarchy and a change of space through differing ceiling heights and slopes. The zig-zagged arrangement of pieces spills out into the front yard, hinting at the internal movement concealed withing a fairly rectangular structure. Playing with verticality and horizontality, the building creates a unique experience for customers.

This project proposes redevelopment of a New Orleans block to a collective housing complex. It explores the relationship between public, semi-public, and pribvate spaces. The street level has stores that are open to the public. The raised platform houses semi-public amenities for residents while the towers have private apartments of varying sizes. The design emphasizes a canopy view afforded by the raised platform and multiple balconies.

JEFFERSON VISITOR CENTER SITE ANALYSIS + MODEL MAKING The design for the Jefferson Island Visitor Center is focuses on circulation and movement within the site, inspired by my personal experience of getting lost on the island during the first site visit, and the concept of "flaneur". Set on the water's edge, with the entrance sequence embedded in the landscape, the design advocates for idle wandering to be the best way to experience this landscape. With Sanaa's Grace Farms as a precedent, the building units peep through the roof, a ring of light bathing the structure. By breaking up the spaces by program, intead of one larger structure housing everything, it extends the snakelike meandering, with stops along the way intead of an definitive end.

SUKKAH 12 STUDENT LED DESIGN + CONSTRUCTION This design aimed to create a COVID-19 conscious Sukkah that allows for social distancing. The design proccess was collaborative and conducted virtually. It utilisied Grasshopper 3D and the CNC Mill to build pre-fabricated walls that could be put together quickly. Steel rods running through the slats hold each wall together, while horizontal beams reinforce the structure. Spacers made of PVC pipes allow light to pass through.

XS LIVING SPACES HOUSING TYPOLOGIES An exercise in designing small homes within different housing typologies. The grid plan is utilized for effective space planning. The one story horizontal home aims to bring the outside inside, with four roof-less, glass enclosed green spaces. They also function as light tunnels.

The sectional home transitions from private (embedded) to more public (overhang) areas.

The axial staircase leads to the parking below and mezzanine above.

EXQUISITE OBJECT ANALOG + DIGITAL CONSTRUCTION

This project, featuring the 'Fish Skinner' studies the form and movement of an antique tool, The drawings explore the juxtaposition between the soft curves of the body and the rugged angles of the skinner. They also study the two types of motion the tool allows: restricted vertical repition and a rotating dial, each functioning on its individual axis.

EXPOSITION CASE DIGITAL + PHYSICAL MODELLING This project was inspired by, and designed to hold the exquisite object from the previous project. The case holds and displays the object in its different stages of open to close motion. The curvature and mirroring of these holding spaces resemble the separation of skin and flesh when the tool is in function. The jagged curves embody the skinning wheel's form.

FISHSKINNER CASE: ISOMETRIC

STAIRWAY TO NOWHERE PLAN PATTERNS + GRAPHICAL PROJECTION This exercise took plans of the Dover Castle and reimagined it using compositional riddles.

The drawing plays with the orientation and density of lines to convey heirarchy in a topdown projection.

This collaborative research studio challenges the concept and practice of standardization in design, building a hill of non-standard geometries or "beans".

Exploring the complexities posed by innovation, it uses standard materials and tools to create a new methodology of construction. The digitally modelled beans are fabricated and assembled following a process that can tackle these irregularities.
