Transformation Processes in Metropolitan Development

was designed by architect Leonardo Álvarez Yepes, winner of the Bienal de Arquitectura de Colombia in 2016.

The campus owes its existence to the government of Liberal President Alfonso López Pumarejo, who reformed Colombia’s schools and universities between 1934 and 1938. His most important project was the reorganization and construction of the university town in Bogotá. López wanted an open university for students from all over Colombia.
