Board Scholarshipsfor staff

We congratulate Miss Caddie Ruster, our Primary Gifted Education Coordinator, and Mrs Mirela Crnogora, our Secondary Library Technician and Systems Administrator, who were both awarded Board Scholarships in 2022. These scholarships are designed to provide an opportunity for the Board to affirm and acknowledge the commitment and dedication of the teaching and support staff at the College to improve outcomes for our students. Recognising the importance of professional learning, they generously support two of our staff to reflect on their practice and its impact upon students and colleagues.

MISS RUSTER will be extending her expertise by representing the College at the 45th Confratute Conference at The University of Connecticut, USA. The conference is conducted by The Renzulli Center for Creativity, Gifted Education, and Talent Development and is one of the leading centres in the world in the area of gifted education and talent development. Mis Ruster will engage with world-leading experts on how to implement research-based practical strategies to differentiate, enrich and engage all learners.

MRS CRNOGORA’s scholarship will allow her to undertake short courses at Charles Sturt University to expand her skills and knowledge in Information Literacy. The courses include Information Literacy, Describing and Analysing Education Resources, the Dynamic Information Environment and Literature Across the Curriculum. Mrs Crnogora will upskill from library technician to education focused professional.

Both Miss Ruster and Mrs Crnogora will undertake their respective projects in 2023 and we look forward to implementing their evidence-based learnings across the College to benefit our students.
