I am so grateful for the devoted teachers who offered their tireless support throughout the past two years, allowing me to strive for my goals. At Santa I have been provided with an abundance of opportunities to challenge myself whether it be in the classroom or on the sporting field.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO THE CLASS OF 2023?

My advice would be to ensure you have a balance between social activities and studies, taking breaks and allocating time for yourself especially during exam blocks. Support each other and share resources, because when one succeeds, you will all benefit. Finally, set goals and strive for them.

BEST MOMENT/S AT SANTA?

My fondest memories of Santa Sabina will be the amazing friendships I formed, which I will forever cherish.

WHAT ARE YOU PLANNING TO DO IN 2023? Bachelor of Engineering at the University of Sydney.

HOW DID SANTA SABINA HELP YOU ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS?

Santa Sabina helped me to achieve my goals best through the dedication of my teachers who were consistent in their genuine determination to see improvement in my performance and commitment to seeing this through right until the final exams. Alongside this, the College’s focus on delivering an all-rounded experience through co-curricular helped me keep a necessary balance, and extend myself beyond the classroom especially in my senior years.

WHAT ARE YOU PLANNING TO DO IN 2023? Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) at Macquarie University.

HOW DID SANTA SABINA HELP YOU ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS?

The Santa Sabina community allowed me to achieve a balance in both academic and extracurricular activities. Having the chance to take part in the IB at Santa allowed me to broaden my opportunities for tertiary studies.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO THE CLASS OF 2023?

Get involved in as many co-curricular activities as you can. They help to create the best memories and allow you the balance that is necessary in your final year. Don’t forget to enjoy yourself but stay consistent with the effort you put into your studies.

BEST MOMENT/S AT SANTA?

Among the moments I’ll treasure most at Santa were the celebrations held across Year 12 including Dom’s Day and our 2022 Theme Launch, which embodied the camaraderie of our year group and the celebration of all that we overcame in our time together.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO THE CLASS OF 2023?

I would advise them to continue doing nonschool related things that they enjoyed taking part in because keeping a balanced lifestyle is important for their wellbeing, especially during this stressful period of time.

BEST MOMENT/S AT SANTA?

These would have to be class time with my IB cohort. We managed to develop stronger relationships with our teachers and between each other as our classes were relatively small which took pressure off the stress that comes with being in Year 12.

HOW DID SANTA SABINA HELP YOU ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS?

ALLANAH NASSIF ATAR 96.65 diverse opportunities for me to participate in, from music ensembles to science competitions. The experience and memories will always be cherished.

Santa Sabina allowed me to achieve my goals through the supportive network of staff and students who constantly mark work, give extra work and ensure our emotional wellbeing is taken care of. Santa offers a range of resources in regard to career searching and study materials that allowed me to reach my fullest potential and aspire to my desired career goals.

WHAT ARE YOU PLANNING TO DO IN 2023? Psychology and Law at Macquarie University.

HOW DID SANTA SABINA HELP YOU ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS?

Due to the dedicated staff and nurturing environment of Santa, I was able to achieve my goals and thrive. I’m so grateful for the numerous hours and support of teachers who genuinely wanted us to succeed and helped us to surpass our own expectations.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO THE CLASS OF 2023?

My advice is to be involved in different co-curricular activities and competitions to help develop your skills in different areas.

BEST MOMENT/S AT SANTA?

My best moments at Santa Sabina were when I was involved in music ensembles and group science competitions as I enjoyed sharing different ideas as a team and gaining new insights from others.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO THE CLASS OF 2023?

I would tell the Class of 2023 to stay persistent. HSC is one of the best and worst years of your life but it’s all about staying determined and focused. Ensure you keep up the social aspect of life whilst staying committed to your studies. Enjoy and appreciate every moment because it truly passes by so quickly.

BEST MOMENT/S AT SANTA?

My best moments at Santa were definitely Homeroom, school camps, athletics and swimming carnivals, community events, and most important of all, my beloved Year 12 Maths Extension 1 Class.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO THE CLASS OF 2023?

Make the most out of every opportunity and do not be afraid of asking for help. It’s also important to try and remain as calm as possible throughout the exam period and ensure you treat yourself. Remember to also work closely with your cohort, as helping each other will benefit everyone and enable you to grow as a learner and in your academic studies.

Santa provided me with many opportunities, fond memories and lifelong friendships.

Moving to Santa in Year 10 provided me with amazing opportunities, one being completing the IB. I am so grateful for all of my teachers’ support and continuous encouragement that allowed me to reach my full potential.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO THE CLASS OF 2023?

My advice to the class of 2023 would be to always have a positive mindset and remain focused on your goals.

I enjoyed every minute with my friends and teachers.

HOW DID SANTA SABINA HELP YOU ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS?

My IB teachers fostered a safe and supportive environment that encouraged me to say yes to new opportunities and achieve my goals inside and outside of the classroom.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO THE CLASS OF 2023?

Everyone’s Year 12 looks different but it’s important to put yourself first and find your balance, to do what works for you, to embrace challenge and new experiences.

B EST MOMENT/S AT SANTA?

Santa allowed me to build relationships and exposed me to a bounty of new opportunity, particularly during the last two years spent with the IB cohort where we grew fond of each other. It was comforting to know they were always there.

WHAT ARE YOU PLANNING TO DO IN 2023? Law/Commerce at the University of NSW while continuing to work part time in a law firm.

HOW DID SANTA SABINA HELP YOU ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS?

Santa Sabina was very successful in assisting and facilitating a balanced lifestyle through my school work, sports and other chosen co-curriculars. Thanks to Santa Sabina College I was able to foster a well-rounded identity and I was able to enjoy myself in all my years at school.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO THE CLASS OF 2023?

For the Class of 2023, my advice would be to keep your heads up and set a goal. If you can envision what you want to achieve, it will be much more achievable and you will be able to have a target to put your mind to.

BEST MOMENT/S AT SANTA?

Any time we got to do things that were interactive. I really enjoyed Santa Fest as a school community and the Saint of Origin. Those are the moments when the school spirit is at its highest and you can truly see the strength of the Santa community.

WHAT ARE YOU PLANNING TO DO IN 2023? Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Health Science at the University of Sydney.

HOW DID SANTA SABINA HELP YOU ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS?

The teachers at Santa Sabina are so passionate and committed, and I would not have been able to achieve my goals without their ongoing support and encouragement.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO THE CLASS OF 2023? Collaboration with your peers is extremely valuable and enhances your own studying more than you think. Make sure you are sharing notes, ideas and study sessions because you want everyone to succeed in your final exams!

WHAT ARE YOU PLANNING TO DO IN 2023? IT or Engineering at the University of Technology Sydney with either the Bachelor of Information Technology Co-op Scholarship or the Women in Engineering and IT Scholarship.

HOW DID SANTA SABINA HELP YOU ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS?

I am grateful to have been guided and supported by a College where justice, compassion and critical thinking nurtures leaders out of young girls. These values were instilled by every teacher I have had since I started at SSC in Year 5. They will transcend high school and empower me in any classroom or workplace I enter as a driving force behind my goals.

BEST MOMENT/S AT SANTA?

Moments as simple as sharing a laugh with my Biology class are so memorable for me and sum up my experience in Year 12. It truly is the best year of school amongst the exams, stress and workload; I enjoyed (almost) every minute of it.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO THE CLASS OF 2023?

Don’t forget that Year 12 is more than the HSC. Work together, encourage each other and enjoy each milestone as they come.

BEST MOMENT/S AT SANTA?

My favourite memories from Santa Sabina are attached to the relationships I have fostered with all my teachers. I grew up with the same teachers surrounding me from Year 5 until Year 12, celebrating my successes and guiding me to see my potential. The dedication our teachers invested in us over the years has been integral to shaping who we are and who we will become.
