What’s the Census and why should I participate? • Every 10 years, the U.S. Census Bureau counts every person in the U.S. • Census data determines federal representation and is used to distribute over $675 billion dollars in annual federal funds to state and local governments for housing, emergency services, roads, schools, healthcare, child care and other vital programs. • A complete and accurate census count will help ensure our community gets its share of federal funding and political representation!

Mail Request Census form in English or Spanish to mail back to Census Bureau
When do I complete the Census? March: Invitations are mailed out asking households to respond to the online Census. Reminder letters go out towards the end of the month. April: Reminder postcards sent to households that haven’t responded online. May receive reminder letter & paper questionnaire if haven’t responded by 4th reminder. May: Census takers visit households that haven’t responded.
