Class Level Descriptions Beginning Tennis- is for players who have never taken a class before, and want to learn the fundamentals. Junior (4 to 18yrs) players should stay in beginning tennis until they can rally with other kids consistently. For adults, they should only stay in beginning tennis for one class session. Advanced Beginning- is a secondary class for adults. They should have taken a beginning class before or have reasonable control rallying with other players. This is an introduction class to score keeping and playing so if you already know how to play matches, you should be in adult Drills or Intermediate classes. For juniors you should be able to keep rallies with other juniors but not have match play experience.

Beginner Intermediate- is an introduction class for juniors to competitive tennis. You should have taken beginning tennis as well as have the ability to play from the baseline with other students and be able to serve the ball with some consistency. Usually recommended for kids older than 10. Intermediate and Adult Drills- is a more advanced class. Students must be able to serve and play matches as well as having good control of ground strokes and volleys. Classes are fast paced and often competition is a major part of class.

Tennis Rain-Out Policy:

Make-ups are only offered for rain-outs and instructor cancellations, not for student absences. If there is a rain-out or cancellation, a student may make up the class by attending any other class throughout the year. It is the student’s responsibility to check the schedule of classes and call ahead of time to make sure the class is running.
