Let’s celebrate! It’s National Arbor Day and Luther Burbank’s Birthday!! Sing happy birthday and enjoy an interactive performance of “Trails of Trees” presented by educational entertainer Tim Womick. Pet Parade Howarth Park

25th annual beauty showcase for your favorite pet. Children 14 and under are invited to participate and enter their animals (no farm animals please) in this fun-filled event. Awards will be given in a variety of categories including best costume and kid/ pet look-alike. Sign up at the lawn in front of The Land of Imagination playground on the day of the parade at 12:45pm. Show starts at 1:30pm and the public is welcome to watch. Co-sponsored by Rec & Parks, All Tails Wagging Vet Clinic, Western Farms and Pet Care Vet Clinic. The first 200 participants will receive souvenirs and prizes will be awarded in a variety of categories for different age groups. Youngsters can register near the boat launch area of Lake Ralphine on the day of the event. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No boat fishing for contest participants. This fantastical production tells the tale of twelve beautiful princesses with a dark secret they dare tell no one. Why do they enter the woods each night? And why do they return with their shoes worn bare? Attend this spring for an hour long adventure full of dancing and excitement. Young attendees are welcome to dress in their favorite fairytale attire. All ages are welcome. (Produced by special arrangement with I. E. Come to Lake Ralphine for a morning of family fishing. Thirty minute, “Learn To Fish” clinics will be offered which will cover all the basics. Loaner rods provided. Children should be 5 years and older and must be accompanied by adults. Fishing licenses required for adults 16 years and older to fish. Licenses are not required to assist your child. Sign up near the Lake Ralphine Boat House. Co-sponsored by Rec & Parks, the California Dept. of Fish and Game and the Santa Rosa Firefighters Association.
