Safety/Self Defense STREETWISE AND BODY SAfe A Self-Defense Workshop For Individuals and Families (Age 14+) 1 Day
Survival training at it’s best. This powerful, fast moving workshop is based on Dr. Fein’s new book, Breaking The Intimidation Game-The Art of Self-Defense. Learn how to prevent and counter an assault. Learn streetwise strategies and the physical and psychological intimidation skills to keep attackers away. You will participate in active drills and role-playing, and practice simple, effective physical self-defense skills. Tear gas/pepper spray available and. Dr. Fein’s new book will be available in class. Min 8 Max 25 Instructor: Judith Fein, Ph.D., Director of EVOLVE Institute of Violence Prevention is a nationally-respected, self-defense expert, black belt in Korean karate and author of 4 books on self-defense. Dr. Fein conducts the self-defense programs at City College of San Francisco and San Francisco State University.

SELF-DEFENSE in honor of MOTHERS & DAUGHTERS (Age 10+) 1 Day
As mothers and daughters, we can be strong, safe, and happy. This fun class will teach you powerful and effective physical, verbal and psychological techniques that have been used successfully in real life situations. The class includes success stories, assertiveness training, information and discussions. Related topics are addressed on an age-appropriate level for the younger students. Students of all ages report feeling more confident after taking this class. Lunch break during class, please bring water and a bag lunch. Fathers and sons welcome too!
