From the Chair - Professor Michael Eames For a great accounting program, you need top notch students, committed world-class faculty, diehard supporters, outstanding staff, and then it helps to be located in Silicon Valley where our students interact with and are welcomed into a vibrant professional community. We are exceedingly proud of our students and especially pleased to see them grow into leadership positions in the Valley. A true pillar of our program is the support of those alumni and professionals who serve on our Advisory Board, mentor our students, graciously provide student seminars, serve on discussion panels, step in to teach a class, provide critical financial

support, and serve as the go-to people when we see a need. This has been another year of strong demand for our graduates. We graduated 95 Accounting and 12 Accounting and Information Systems majors. Our Certificate of Advanced Accounting Proficiency Program, under the direction of Professor Michael Calegari, continues to grow, and this year 133 students earned certificates in the program. It is my pleasure to share with you this year’s issue of our newsletter. We hope the articles keep you connected and current with our activities and opportunities.
