VOWS in the Valley Against a backdrop of rolling hills, Demetria Estate is the rustic Los Olivos vineyard where SOPHIA ZAHOUDANIS married ANDREW KINELL . After eight years of dating, Andrew knelt on the beach in Nantucket and presented Sophia with an exquisite emerald-cut diamond. “I’ll never forget the way it caught the light that evening,” says Sophia. Inspired by the stunning landscape of her family’s vineyard, Sophia wanted the wedding to be simple, natural, and organic. The bride wore a minimalist Vera Wang gown, and floral arrangements incorporated native blooms such as olive, sage, eucalyptus, rosemary, bay, and white Majolica roses. In an intimate ceremony, the bride and groom read personalized vows to one another and exchanged honey (a Persian tradition) to signify a sweet life together. After zipping off in a vintage Range Rover, the couple spent two weeks traveling along the western coastline of Corsica. K . P .

Beachside Bliss
Padaro Beach was the site of LAUREN MCEWEN and JONATHAN BRYSON ’s summertime nuptials. The bride (an alumna of Crane Country Day and Cate schools) and groom were married at the bride’s family’s 1940s beach house in a vibrant and memorable celebration. “We wanted a casual wedding,” says Lauren. “Needless to say, the event was the best day ever for us—we were surrounded by our favorite people, in our favorite place, with our favorite food and drinks (lots of them!), and one heck of a dance party.” The couple, who wed after dating since 2009, called on Soigné Productions to see their vision through. The two enjoyed a private oceanfront ceremony among friends and family followed by a dinner of Mexican fare by Jessica Knight Catering—complete with margaritas, an authentic taco bar, and an array Continued on page 169 of traditional desserts.
