Prolibac ibac is a powerful enzyme/bacterial preparation that has been specially designed for the biodegradation of vegetable and animal fats (without mineral oils) in waste water systems. It is used in grease separators and waste water treatment plants to ensure smooth operation, prevent blockages and minimise odour emissions. Prolibac creates a stable, self sustaining bacterial flora in the treated system and ensures an effective reduction of the accumulated fats and oils.

PRODUCT PROBLEMSDESCRIPTIONWITHGREASE

Grease and organic contaminants in the water. Enzymes break down the molecular chains of grease and contaminants. The bioavailability increases. Bacteria break down organicmaterial into gas and water.

Prolibac Fats and oils in waste water tend to bond with contaminants to form solid, wax like lumps. This frequently results in blockages which must be removed with great effort. In waste water treatment plants, a large fat load also impairs the biological treatment stage and reduces the purification performance. Grease traps are designed to prevent such problems, but must be emptied and cleaned regularly to maintain their function. This results in costly and unpleasant maintenance. Prolibac uses bacteria to break down the fats (and food residues) in grease separators before they contaminate the waste water system. Prolibac: How it works: Enzymes break down the long molecular chains of fats and food residues. The decomposition products are now broken down by the microorganisms into gas (methane, CO2) and water. The fat crusts are liquefied, broken down and their volume is substantially reduced.

RESULT WITH THE USE OF PROLIBAC The volumes of the grease layer, foam and sediments are substantially reduced, which optimises the flow and enables smooth operation. This extends the emptying intervals for the grease separator, which can be kept to a minimum. Ideally, they may even be eliminated altogether. REQUIREMENTS FOR USE OF PROLIBAC Description 1 Infeed 2 Foam/grease layer 3 Waste water 4 Sludge/sediment 5 Drain 1 432 5 1 2 3 4 5 Without Prolibac With Prolibac Temperature max. 40°C Measured atthe inletof the grease separator pH value 6,0 8,0 Optimum application range Influences to avoid Introduction of: Drug residues (antibiotics) AggressiveBiocides chemicals, acid, lye and chlorine, etc. Values outside the recommended range will reduce Prolibac's effectiveness. Temperatures above 40°C and alkalis or biocides are extremely destructive to bacteria. Important to know: The use of grease trap maintenance products only containing enzymes is counterproductive and hazardous. Such products do not break down the fats. Instead, they are only emulsified in the water and the grease separator is then bypassed. Prolibac, however, primarily uses enzymes to increase the bioavailability of the fats for the bacteria they contain. They actually break down the fat instead of "only" liquefying it. • Daily dosage before the end of daily operations

• Maintenance treatment after the initial treatment After four weeks, the microbiological build up and adaptation with Prolibac is complete and you can continue with the maintenance treatment (see next page for description).

INITIAL TREATMENT

The grease separator should be filled approx. ¼ full with fat at the start of treatment. The fat layer is essential for the build up and adaptation of the microbiological flora in the grease separator.

The initial treatment using Prolibac takes place during the first four weeks. The dosage should be based on the consumption table for the initial treatment.

Prolibac is supplied in liquid form and it can be dosed manually or automatically.

During the initial treatment period, the treatment must be carried out each day before the end of daily operations. After applying Prolibac, no large quantities of water should be pumped into the grease separator.

• Optionally, the grease separator can be emptied after three weeks. Three weeks after the first day of treatment with Prolibac, the grease trap can be mechanically emptied down to a surface grease layer of approx. 10 cm. This additional emptying reduces the subsequent Prolibac consumption during the first phase of the maintenance treatment. An increased dosage of the initial treatment must be continued for another week after it has been emptied. In order for the microorganisms to have enough nutrients, there must always be a thin layer of fat (approx. 10cm). If the fat layer becomes thinner, the amount of Prolibac added can be "slightly reduced". If the fat layer increases beyond a thickness of 10 cm, a little more Prolibac must be added.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Ideally, a fully automatic dosing pump with timer function should be used. Prolibac is pumped directly without any pretreatments from the supplied bidon and dosed into the inlet of the grease separator (which must have been prepped treatment) or the aeration tanks.

• Duration of initial treatment (start up)

• Unexpected increase in fat during the initial treatment Prolibac is used to dissolve the fat that has accumulated in the pipes and in the grease separator inflow over many years and then feed it to the grease separator. This positive effect can temporarily result in an unexpected increase in fat in the grease separator.

• Prepping the grease separator for the initial treatment

Prolibac

In order for the microorganisms to have enough nutrients, a thin layer layer of fat (approx. 10cm) must always be present. If the fat layer becomes thinner, the amount of Prolibac added can be "slightly reduced". If the fat layer increases beyond a thickness of 10cm, a little more Prolibac must be added

The weekly dosage must be adjusted to the thickness of the fat layer according to the dosage table below as well as the empirical values for the fat layer's thickness. The latter may vary. In any case, periodic checks must be carried out. Initially, you should check weekly. Later, you should check monthly, and when you have acquired sufficient experience, you should check every two months. This completely eliminates the need for emptying and foul odours.

• Essential layer of fat in the grease separator

• Maintenance treatment before the end of daily operations or a rest day

MAINTENANCE TREATMENT Prolibac

• Weekly dosage frequency for the maintenance treatment

• Other important parameters for the dosage quantity

To ensure that the microorganisms can perform their functions without any disruptive effects, the treatment should be carried out as part of the maintenance treatment before a weekly rest day or before the end of daily Afteroperations.applying Prolibac, no large quantities of water should be pumped into the grease separator.

The weekly dosage depends on the daily input into the grease separator and the volume of the grease separator itself. If the daily input into the grease separator is approximately equal to the grease separator's volume, a weekly dosage of Prolibac is sufficient. If the daily input is greater than the grease separator's volume, Prolibac must be dosed several times per week, depending on the ratio of the input to the grease separator's volume.
