Chevrolet Sail sedan will follow launch of the hatchback!
As we and every Chevrolet Sail review, available on the Internet have already reported that General Motors India Limited has plans to launch the Sail hatchback in India by June this year. But, just after launch of the Chevrolet Sail hatchback in India, the company would also offer a sedan model to the Indian buyers. Chevrolet Sail price for June this year launching hatchback version is expected between Rs. 4 lakh to Rs. 6 lakh at ex-showroom Delhi.
Chevrolet Sail hatchback’s stunning features and possibility of both petrol and diesel models are remarking it major competitor of Volkswagen Polo, Maruti Swift, Skoda Fabia, Hyundai i20 and So On big hatchbacks in the Indian domestic automobile market. Meanwhile, the Chevrolet Sail sedan which has been caught and spied many of times during test run on the Indian roads, is expected to fall in the price range of Rs. 7 lakh to Rs. 9 lakh at ex-showroom.

It is speculated that with launch of Chevrolet Sail sedan in this speculated price bracket, GM India seeks to target the popular mid-size sedans such as Honda City, Skoda Rapid, Nissan Sunny, Volkswagen Vento and so forth. The already disclosed Chevrolet Sail pictures for the hatchback model are indicating it a premium beast in the category. Along with a 1.2 litre S-TEC II petrol engine packed model, the new Chevrolet Sail will be available in diesel model too that carries a Fiat made 1.3 litre multijet diesel powertrain.
The announced Chevrolet Sail features for hatchback version are premium, while the spied sedan version of the vehicle will also carry premium features. It will be offered with a list of features including power steering, electric mirrors, AC, music system, power windows, remote tailgate opener and remote fuel lid opener; and Safety features such as airbags, ABS with EBD, central locking, fog lamps and speedsensitive auto latch.
