Dutch Oven Sourdough Bread

(all ingredients can be purchased at Miller’s Country Store, including our original sourdough starter dating clear back to the Klondike era. www.millerscountrystoresandpoint.com)

3 1/4 c flour

2 tsp sea salt

1 c sourdough starter

1 1/2 c warm water

In a large bowl mix all ingredients. Cover and allow to sit on the counter for 9-12 hours.

Put the dutch oven in the oven and preheat to 425°.

Flour work surface. Dump out dough and fold it over a couple of times to shape into a round loaf.

Remove dutch oven from oven. Carefully place dough on large piece of parchment paper and place into hot dutch oven.

Bake for 30 min with the lid on. Remove lid and bake for another 10 min. until golden brown. Let cool completely and serve to people you love.

Rosemary Sea Salt

Version: mix in 3/4 c finely chopped fresh rosemary
