THE RADY SHELL AT JACOBS PARK™ BELONGS TO ALL OF US. This remarkable new performance space is the first permanent outdoor venue in The San Diego Symphony Orchestra’s centurylong history. Designed to host more than 100 concerts and events annually and do so year-round, this venue signals an exciting future for the San Diego Symphony—a future that is accessible to our entire community.

Located along the Embarcadero, this site also features Jacobs Park— a public park for the entire community.

TAKE IN THE ARCHITECTURE Appropriately called the “shell,” this canopy structure, featuring a concentric series of widening rings and tensile fabrics, was modeled after a conch shell. This magnificent form stands 57 feet tall and 92 feet wide, creating a spectacular, world-class sheltered stage area.
