For a deeper dive into our city’s rich naval and maritime history, visit the USS Midway to explore life on a carrier, or tour a collection of steam, sail and submarine vessels at the Maritime Museum of San Diego. Visitors learn about early European explorers at Cabrillo National Monument — also a best bet for tide pooling (seasonal).
