Lisa Gipson Be a Superhero for Autism! Grab your cape and run or walk through the heart of Balboa Park in the San Diego Race for Autism Superhero 5K, presented by National Foundation for Autism Research (NFAR). The event helps kick off Autism Awareness Month and includes a resource fair, children’s activities, music, capes for kids, prizes, refreshments and more. Costumes and strollers welcome. Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 6; 5K starts at 7:30 a.m.; one-mile Family Fun Walk starts at 8:30 a.m. All race donations support San Diego autism programs, services and local classrooms.
